he loves his fans that's for sure. I've never seen anyone so cooperative. Signed all of those programs and DVDs and then took his own picture for us. TWICE! And a big thanks to Alice for being so patient while we goofed around with all of this. And to Uke for entertaining Trevor Nunn...

Uke and Maxx, how exciting! Thanks for sharing all that with us! The picture is such a good one and he was so good-natured to talk with you and sign the program and DVD for you. He really is one-of-a-kind!

Thanks Uke and Maxx, you guys are great! It's so fun to hear about your experience--and a Ruf photo to boot! I'd love to see one of you two with him, to put some faces with your names, but I know that's a lot to ask online these days. Sounds like they didn't mess (too much) with a good thing as far as the R & R show goes, from what Uke said. I am not surprised that it went well (esp. for a preview), as they have the main original cast with a lot of shows behind them. I just wondered if there were any extra jitters with it being Broadway and all. Did either of you ask or did Rufus or others comment on that? Just wondering. By the way, thanks to Rai too for posting that Variety item. It was interesting to read about the impact of the "Coast of Utopia" and how it's success played a part in them waiting to stage R & R

I know of no one who is so good at one-handed self-portraits as Rufus. Thanks, Maxx. Very cool with the autographed stuff too. Isn't he the greatest?

Uke and Maxx, A great big thanks to both of you for sharing your 'close encounter' and for getting the autographs and lovely photo. I loved the pic he took of himself; it's so natural, and captures his good nature. Thanks, Rufus, for taking the time to make our day! Now, who's going next?

Maxx & Uke---thank you soooo much!...Catdishy and I are going on friday the 26th ...actually I think she has a cot in the lobby because I think she is trying to go three times or something like that (not that I can blame her)....We are going to hang by the stage door and see if we can get a pictrue and an autograph...safety or comfort in numbers but knowing he is cooperative with his fans will make it a slight bit easier... I'm in total denial that Im even going---I can't believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wondered if there were any extra jitters with it being Broadway and all. Did either of you ask or did Rufus or others comment on that? Just wondering. Now don't take my word for it as I wasn't involved in the whole conversation as I went off to talk to Trevor Nunn for a few seconds but I think he said that they were a bit nervous or at least that it was a big deal for them, it being Broadway and the first preview. Maxx, help me out, did he ask us if we liked it? I seem to remember I told him I loved it but can't remember if I offered that up spontaneously. Right, like I said, I seem incapable of having any kind of intelligent conversation with Rufus so Maxx will have to confirm the above

I can't remember. When I've had a few days of recuperation maybe it will come back to me. I know someone said something about being nervous but maybe that was me talking to you later...
I just can't figure out how I happened to miss Trevor Nunn. Next time you have to point these things out to me. Who else did I miss? Don't you dare say Tom Stoppard. I expect you to come over and interrupt me if I'm talking to the Pope, if Tom Stoppard appears.
Were you there when we were talking about what was different or was that when I was talking to Alice?

You talked to Alice? I wasn't aware of that all. I didn't see Tom Stoppard with the group. Let's hope he wasn't banging his head against the wall around the corner which I very vividly remember him doing during the intermission of the first preview at the Royal Court last year. That's a moment I'll never forget!

You talked to Alice? I wasn't aware of that all. but you were at least aware that she was there, right? So that puts you one up on me with Trevor Nunn. And what, your camera in your cellphone wasn't working at that time?

And what, your camera in your cellphone wasn't working at that time? I only upgraded to a camera phone a few months ago. Back then I still had my old Nokia manufactured sometime BC.
