Yay, Tink! Glad you're having a fab time seeing the play (James Earl Jones? I'm jealous!) and meeting Rufus - can't wait to see the pics!

Way to GO Tinkerdog! You and Sis saw R & R three times! And you also got up the gumption to meet Rufus. Yay! We're so proud of you, and I can tell by your post it went really well and I'm sure you are so happy you did it. ;D Must have had good seats too, with James Earl Jones behind you. Just make sure you ask for a picture of yourself with Rufus, okay? That will be special for you. After all, there are plenty of pics of just Rufus out there...not that we EVER tire of seeing new ones of him, that'll never happen! We are so looking forward to seeing yours and hearing more, more, more!!! Luv- Cakes

Uke, are you sure you want to be name dropping Newman? Um, I thought maybe you would want to keep that to yourself, ha ha. Who's next? Gilbert Gotfried??
You know I'm just kidding don't you? He was actually great in Seinfeld, really irritating and repulsive, which was exactly what they were shooting for with his character.

Ohh lucky girls!!! I wish I had had the gumption to hang around the stage door last year when I went to London because he does sound such a sweetie to his fans! Hope you recruited the other fans to the board while you were at it!!!
What was your audience response? I do hope that it continues to be really positive for them!

show 3, last for me - this month anyway. lowest point, jeremy irons. so you can see we were on cloud 9 from the start! play is amazing and we came away with so much more each day. we had him to ourselves, just lisa and myself. lisa took 3 pics and i, 2 - 1 with me. alice very generously stepped to the side. i asked, on behalf of friends from websites how long he would be here because they wanted to come in jan and feb - he said they were booked for 5 months but they could close them so 'so touch wood for us'. meeting him is beyond words. i will write more with a computer.

ah Rufus ever the optimist. I don't know if anyone else is reading the blogs but because I get most everything Rufus-related into my inbox, I get them every day. There have been several this week thus far on Rock 'n' Roll and they are uniformly glowing. I don't post them here because there is only so much you can read about someone seeing Rock 'n' Roll last night and they thought it was fabulous. But if you aren't keeping up on them, they are raves. No surprise of course to those of us who have seen the show. Thank you for the update, Tink. Can't wait to hear your report and see your photos.

i asked, on behalf of friends from websites how long he would be here because they wanted to come in jan and feb - he said they were booked for 5 months but they could close them so 'so touch wood for us'.. Was that Rufus' expression "Touch wood for us" ?? - How sweet. I've always said "Knock on wood" It sounds like it'll be 5 months without us having "to touch wood for him" but I'm doing it anyway, so knock, knock meeting him is beyond words. i will write more with a computer. I can only imagine how exciting meeting him could be. I'm going in November (with my husband) but I've never waited at stage doors, so I'll have to build up a lot of nerve in a month. (You guys are younger than I am! Last time I waited for anyone was when the New York Mets won the World Series in 1986 and I waited for them at the airport -- Of course, now airport security wouldn't allow this!) I eagerly look forward to more Rock 'n' Roll news, Tink! Good for you --glad you had a great time

You guys are younger than I am! Not necessarily, Terri Pluck up the courage - it will be worth it, and you'll never forgive yourself if you miss the opportunity!

LOL Terri, I think I am the grandma around here - I couldnt muster the courage to hang around the stage door though and have regretted it ever since! I am sure you will be fine! Only a month before you get to see the production - it will just fly by!

Right now, with it being a month away, and all the excitement with the posts from Tink, Maxx, and Uke, I know I want to -- but I don't know if I will with my husband in November. But . . . my daughter wants to see the show when she's home from college for Christmas break and I definitely would stand by the stage door with her because she has no fear. . . and she likes Roof too!
