Aww man, I didn't think anybody else would get that channel! Well, at least I'll know from now on. I'll make sure to mention anything that comes on! That's the first one I've ever seen on it, though.

Watched Carrington yesterday...  , Great artists! I love Emma Thompson, Jonathan Pryce (especially in Terrry Gilliam's Brazil). Thanks to this movie I became curious about this era and art(ists). Very complicated human relations, though. I try to see Mark through Rufus' eyes. Author Gretchen Gerzina says "He was extremely handsome, with huge dark eyes, pale skin, and a thin body, and he was both solemn and passionate about his art." If you are interested in further details, Sarah MacDougall's biography of Mark Gertler is still available, but a bit expensive if you cannot get it at a library. I don't know this book, but I would recommend the bio written by John Woodeson - by courtesy of Nell I came about this intriguing book.

I still haven't watched the whole film and hope I'll find the time during my Christmas break. I guess I didn't quite do it justice the first time.
Inspired by Castanea's link, I Googled some pictures of Mark Gertler - Rufus is really perfectly cast in this role.

Laban has found out that a new DVD of Carrington, with Swedish subtitles, will be released on the 17th of April 2013. Happy news for Swedish fans, and also great news for Rufus that his fanbase has another chance to expand! Thanks for the info, Laban! You'll have to let us know if the Swedish press ever starts to write any articles about Rufus.  |

That's great news!
I just realized I never posted about this one again. It's been a while since I watched it completely and found I liked it a lot more than at first attempt. Fantastic performance from Rufus again. I'd really love to see him play a passionate artist once again.
