The Illusionist is supposed to be available in the US on January 9th! I wish it could be sooner, but it will make a nice after-Christmas gift for myself ! Pen

This will be a purchase for me as well!!! That's my son's birthday.........I can get it for him and since he doesn't live here anymore (he's 22) then I'll just keep it for him and watch it myself!

I hope it carries deleted scenes or they would just advance to the Directors Cut or the Extended Version.

Not on dvd but if I was to fly home to UK on Qantas this month, the Illusionist is the inflight movie. That is almost the crunch factor to flying home this month (come on Mr Tatts, help me out here!) Usually when I fly home, the inflight movies are cr*p!

so if this is now going to dvd in the US - does that mean its now NOT going to show at UK cinemas, but will go straight to DVD at some point soonish? no UK cinema release? - how rubbish! or maybe i'm making wrong assumptions here.....or, worse, it did get shown in UK and i missed it!!

This is a movie that can be enjoyed on the small screen probably as well as the large one Jemima. I don't know if it played in the UK. (the imdb site would give release dates) I would be mad too if it hadn't, but with the dvd you can watch it over & over & over.......& hopefully it will have the "extras" tinker was talking about! I'm gonna buy it.
Quoll are you going home this month ?!

Ah, but jem, the sooner it's out on DVD here, the sooner we can get our mitts on Rufus it and watch it in the privacy of our own homes. Just think: not having to be really careful about not sighing lustfully whenever he's on screen, no putting up with stupid tw*ts talking/eating,using phone during the film - and best of all, the fast-forward button!! Bring it on, I say!
