Tip same thoughts about Ugly Betty, could have been her twin, also way tooooo much face time for Shelton's sister and not nearly unuf of Ruf. This ep was close to Electro for me. But I did love the pheromone reference as well. Too, too funny. Where exactly did they find these writers from hell??? Honestly, this is the best that they came up with?? So sad.

Finally watched it (saving George for tomorrow when husband not home) and must say it really did suck.
The last 10 minutes were laugh out loud funny with the models still parading out on the runway while crazed males are leaping at them like piranhas on beef stew night. Never saw a canine squad arrive so quickly - I can't get my dogs in from the backyard that fast. And the carefully placed fruit & veg stand in the foreground just says NYC, doesn't it?

OMFG! This SUCKED! I was ok with the pheremone concept. It was actually tried in the 80's with a women's cologne and a men's cologne... and damn was the men's stuff irresistable. I knew a couple of guys back then who wore it and I just loved it. However, this episode was too predictable and there were too many ridiculous spots in it. I'm in agreement with others who posted here about what was wrong with it, so I won't do a repeater here. Rufus deserves much better treatment dammit! 'Nuf said.

Even HE said it was a career low for him, for the sake of humanity, where are quality writers when you need them? I said from the beginning, that I thought the chemistry thing was all wrong with Shelton and Sewell, I truly didn't believe that from the onset, she's had her moments but I don't feel any warmth or friction between the two. In the latest ep, she was conspicuously in the background while Felix was more in the forefront. I did object to his character being added, but I admit I'm warming to him but it's slow going. It's been quite noticable to anyone with half a brain that the suits at the "eye" have no clue to who Sewell is; I would truly love to know what the catalyst was to casting him as the lead, we all know he has talent up the wazoo, but if we all know that then how come they don't give him a decent story line and script to work with? ? They must have known what he is capable of and the lack of respect towards not only him, but to the show in general. THe publicity or should I say lack thereof has been amazing to me. They latched on to The Mentalist and ran away with it leaving EH in the dust. Part of me is happy that it may return only to see what may be in store for a second season, perhaps the writers can hoan their craft and come up with halfway decent scripts. Alot of us here have blamed them in the past, rightly or not, is it the direction, ( very strong possibility) I just don't know, wher the true fault lies. I watch week to week strictly for him, if truth be told, he's fun to watch, and I love his quirkiness, and reactions, he just really interesting to watch, I'm never bored (who would be honestly???). There have been probably three eps that stand out for me that showcased his range and let him do what he does best, too bad the dozen or so others couldn't do that. Tis a shame. (and my appologies for being a bit long winded, but I needed to vent) (in the immortal words of Mony Python, I'm feeling much better) ;D

No apologies necessary, Peach! I think we are all more than a little disappointed. And truth be told, I was interested in the show for the sake of the show at first, but noticed that as time went on, I was watching for the sake of watching Rufus. He IS interesting to watch, I agree. The show itself... Well, I try to look at the positive aspects even when it is not great .... This week's ep is the first time I've really dissed it, but Rufus has really been the reason for continuing to watch this show as faithfully as I have been.... Well, at least Subway was good. ;D

But as we all know, tip, it's not about quality in tv programs, it's quanity and EH has been fairing well in the ratings. Besides, even though I haven't watched the episode yet, I doubt they'll ax an entire show based on one or two really bad episodes. Look at all the programs that are on tv now that are just dreadful yet they're renewed season after season. There have been some very good episodes and I think the powers that be understand that you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Get rid of the crappy writers and keep the ones that are writing episodes like "Subway" "Gephetto" "H20" and some of the other worthy episodes. And from rai has said, Rufus is pleased with the way the season finale turned out so if we can end the season on a creative high note, there's hope the CBS folks will realize the show has potential. If the show is renewed, Bruckheimer needs to take the summer hiatus as an opportunity to really look at what and who has worked for the show and build on that.

This is so sad!!! Rufus deserves a better series - he is too good an actor for this.
When would the NY police (let alone any police force) allow the FBI to enter a crime scene on a random case of violence - we don't have to get past the first five minutes to know it is bad.
Regarding Dior, it is hardly likely that a scruffy guy is going to get into the dressing room with the models and that they would allow him to touch their hair and spray something on them. Where are all the 7 foot linebacker body guards?
And the best is Felix calling Rachel instead of 911 to subdue all the fanatics - and they really never do come in great force, you see but a handful and they entered after the biophysicist.
....whatever....next?

Tinkerdog, those were all excellent points you made. Why can't the people who write/direct the exhibit the same common sense?
The writers for Olfactus are also some of the show's producers, and they've cowritten other episodes, including Savant, which I thought was very good, and some other relative stinkers, including Cardiac, which I thought was preposterous (sorry, peach).
Here is what I don't get: Why is the writing so uneven, even when the same people are working on it? I mentioned in the Electro thread that the writers of Electro (who were different from Olfactus writers) had also written some good episodes themselves and then perpetrated the atrocity that was Electro. Are they writing some of the episodes at home under the watchful eye of their mothers, and then writing others while smoking crack in their local strip club?

Fibber. They could dress him up in a manchot costume and have him singing love songs to James Franco and you couldn't give it up.
I was at the CBS website looking at their photo gallery of Rufus throughout the season, and I was amazed by how fabulous and varied Hood's wardrobe is. The costumer seems to be brilliant in his/her choices, and of course has the good fortune to be dressing up a pretty, pretty doll, but they also must have a very good wardrobe budget.
I hereby pledge to CBS that I will not complain if Hood wears the same shirt/blazer combo twice next season, if you just use the extra money to HIRE BETTER WRITERS. Heck, I wouldn't complain if he has to go shirtless a few times, if it will aid the cause.

The costumer seems to be brilliant in his/her choices, and of course has the good fortune to be dressing up a pretty, pretty doll, but they also must have a very good wardrobe budget. that often makes me wonder, for someone who apparently is supposed to be unaware of those things and uninterested by mundane things, hood, has got quite an impressive wardrobe, thus must shop a lot. or, his wife used to for him? yes, more likely. i know i would shop for that guy. i would... let's face it, just about anything, really. or, even more likely, he has no idea about how to wash clothes, so he just throws them away and buys new ones.I hereby pledge to CBS that I will not complain if Hood wears the same shirt/blazer combo twice next season, if you just use the extra money to HIRE BETTER WRITERS. Heck, I wouldn't complain if he has to go shirtless a few times, if it will aid the cause. i would suggest pantless too, but then, he would have no pockets to put his hands in. come to think of it, that's a good plan.
