I can't remember on which threads I posted previous stuff, so....well, hey, we can never have too many threads, right? Thursday, 26 February 2009 New Stuff Well, I'm told that the information's shown up on Wikipedia, so I suppose I'm safe to blab about it now... the good folks at JBTV were kind enough to invite me to take time off from development work to pitch something for the US version of Eleventh Hour, and my episode Subway will air on CBS on March 5th. It guest-stars Mariel Hemingway and is directed by ER alumnus Paul McCrane. My thanks to Cyrus and Ethan and everyone in the writers' room for letting me play in their yard.
My second show is titled Medea, and it'll be the season finale on April 2nd.
Can't say too much about that one yet as it's shooting right now, other than that it features Sleeper Cell's Melissa Sagemiller.
But I will say this - I reckon I've been seriously spoilt by the American pace of creation and production. brooligan.blogspot.com/2009/02/new-stuff.htmlUmm......the same pace the crappy writers are working to? Well, at least the producers have finally realised they needed new blood, so why not the creator?

As long as he didn't write Electro, I'm willing to give him a chance. That was dreck.
Thanks very much for posting this info, GE2!

yes. He was very moving in his role and seemed to have a great voice, although he didn't get too much of a solo.

Stephen Gallagher has updated his blog, and says this: I've now seen a pre-air of Medea, my second script for the show and the season finale, and I'm absurdly happy with what I saw. brooligan.blogspot.com/2009/03/eleventh-hour-back-in-uk.htmlGood, good, good! Note his response, though, to a query about the extent of his input to the series as a whole: That's hard to define because I had no role in setting up the show. But they did have access to my background notes and pre-script proposal documents, and made some serious use of them. There are some significant differences, of course. Rufus's Hood is a man at a different stage of his life than Patrick's, so he's less of an old-testament patriarch and more the thoughtful realist.
As soon as my Crusoe exclusivity ended they got me in and started picking my brains, and that hasn't stopped. Rest assured -- whenever they've needed an opinion from me, you can bet they've had one.
"whenever they've needed an opinion from me, you can bet they've had one." Hmmmm......and we still got Olfactus?

All of this fits into the puzzle of "how good EH could be" - let us stay tuned for the finale and hope we are all pleasantly surprised.
