I don't remember when... but I happened to hear from somebody that Roof had a really nasty accident after crashing himself against the ground (in the Legend of Zorro) where he was obliged to jump away from the train or something like that.. and that he had serious problems with his spine, and it cost him a lot of pain, and that hospital treatment was required? Has anybody heard of it? As far as I know, he isn't rather known as an accident-prone actor, or is he?:/ Ever heard something about some nasty injuries and accidents that happened to him during his actor's career?  |

ok ..you got my attention quick!!  I do remember reading during LOZ Catherine Zeta Jones accidently kicked him in the nose ....but didn't hear anything else...If he did get injured --he doesn't seem the type to dwell on it ....the show must go on !! |

I recall the Catherine Zeta-Jones story as well - nothing as serious as above. I do remember reading that he does not do his own stunts because he does not want serious injury and that seemed to be a direct answer just after Antonio Banderas was credited with doing his own stunts.
The only other mention from Ruf about stunt related work is practicing horse riding for A Knight's Tale and minimal sword fighting for Charles II.

Speaking of Catherina Zeta Jones kick - yeah, that must've been pretty hard..Now I've read she was so afraid of his injury she inflicted upon him she sent him flowers and went to his trailer three times in a day to check out his state and to make sure everything was ok with him.. very nice of her:)
