Rai, thanks for that info. They shouldn't go announcing things at like that at a place like Cannes if it isn't a done deal - grrrr! (Now....what was your address again, so we can come torture you about that iron in the fire .....? )

Thanks for letting us know, Rai. Now I feel like one of those silly people who believes everything she reads on the internet. Oh wait, I am....

Thank you Rai...it's good to know that Rufus has something else going on, just hope it's not as a member of the Village People!!! (although that could be interesting...?!!). That moustache scared me a little...but I love a mystery and I am looking forward to the surprise, moustache or not!

Hello everyone, I've had a little chat with Rufus and the Usher thing seems to be an inaccurate rumor. Of course, once one source picks it up, the rest go with it and it becomes "official". Fear not - he has another iron in the fire and it sounds good. Sorry to be mysterious, but you know the rules. Promise I'll disclose more when I can. xxx Rai Thanks Rai and might I just say phew, that's a relief. Of course I'd love to see Rufus in anything new but 3D? He hasn't done 3D before but he also hasn't done a country western musical in the vain of Roy Rogers...and I for one thank him for that. I'm sure he'd do a great job at what ever he choses to do but I don't want to have to sit thru either of those previously mentioned choices. lol Thanks again Rai for keeping us informed. Leelee:)

Just wanted to echo my thanks to Rai as well, for her being generous in letting us know what's up when she can. Sure is no fun to get one's hopes up needlessly. I'm very okay with him not doing "Usher", since I usually try to read up on Roof's literary projects pre-viewing and I'm not interested in reading Poe. (Mostly because I just finished "The Alienist" which was given to me with hearty recomendations and it was dark, icky and boring. Don't want to follow that up with POE!) Anybody read anything clever lately??? ;D Let me know, please.

I mentioned this on another thread, rufluvr, and it was actually a best seller about a year ago so you may have already read it, but I really liked "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society." I have already cast Rufus in the film version. If the people who actually have the rights don't cast him as well, there will be hell to pay!!!

If you google "Ushers Sewell", you'll get many hits that all sound legit. It's not fair that someone starts these rumors then sits back and enjoys it when people get angry. Oh well....hopefully he's on to bigger and better things.

Uhhhh...that's hoping Rufus is on to bigger and better things. Not the rumor-monger! Sorry!

So it's definite, he'll not be doing Ushers??? I've been scanning boards looking for "new projects" for him, and haven't found anything other than Ushers. Hoping to see something here soon (LOL - AND praying for a project with sex and a romance - aren't I redundant???)

He's been spending a lot of time in L. A. Obviously not working on EH so he has to be doing something else.

Thanks Rueful for the suggestion--I will definitely read it. (What a goofy title, though ) It sounds like a fun read. And it's a period book to boot, which I like Tank u veddy much.
