What a bunch of cute pictures! Thanks everybody! LTM, your tabby looks almost like our old boy ... he's been gone for an incredible eight years now and I still miss him. He was gorgeous with that special feline royal attitude. Unfortunately there are hardly any really good pictures of him

Ahh LTM Tousle is so gorgeous!! Missymoo seems a lot better and even more perky on her special diet, which she does seem to like. Thank goodness!

What a gorgeous pic, LTM!
Hey, Robela. I hope Missymoo can get back on track with her health. I noticed my kitty getting very thin earlier this year and took her to the vet. The vet diagnosed the same thing....bladder crystals and put her on Science Diet f/d food. Kitty wouldn't touch that for anything. So we tried SD's c/d food. It's like catnip to her! But c/d is not quite as good as f/d according to the vet. I can't keep her out of the c/d food, wet or dry. She's still very thin but I don't think quite as thin. I have to get another urine sample at the end of June. (Getting a urine sample from a cat - a whole 'nuther story!)
He told me to give her a paste called Methigel. Same for you? It's a nasty stuff that she'll tolerate mixed in with her wet c/d food.
The vet said she'd probably never get better but the c/d food should "maintain" her. I guess that's good? She is 14 years old and he said that all cats will get this condition if they live long enough.
Purrs and cuddles to Missymoo. I hope she gets better!

Thanks to you too wichiwoman ahhh thanks.....I love Tousle sooooo much. He's been with me through thick and thin....he just seems to know what I am feeling. I wanted to take a decent photo of him. I encourage him to go into the garden as much as possible these days when the weather is fine. He's in his 17th year (and that is approx only - he may be older) 'cause he was a rescue cat. I got him when he was approx 4 yrs old - I have to say that it was love at first sight. I am a sucker for a tabby. ;D Sadly Tousle is now showing his age somewhat. He has lost a lot of weight in the last few months and one of his front legs has enlarged. Fortunately he does not limp badly, nor is he in any apparent pain. It's something that I have to keep a watch on because if he shows any sign of pain I will have to make a decision - one which I dread, but I will not see him suffer. I owe him big time. He is a very special boy. Ahhh Missymoo, you lovely shiney black cat from Manc land - love you and hope you are better soon little furball.

So, LTMNRS, you have a small Rufus in your home. I don't know who is older of them both, but seems to me judging by the eyes you have one Rufus in the shape of a cat named Tousle! . Love that photo. I had a gorgeous white cat, but someone shot at him, kicked or hit him and broke one leg, and despite some long care and operations the guy disappeared, I suppose he just went out to go the heaven. I dream of him from time to time, and definitely don't want to become close to any other animal for a while.

Oh that's so sad about your white cat, why are some people so incredibly cruel? Tousle (aka 'little Rufus') sends you a big cuddly purr.

Funnily I have always thought Rufus was a cool name for a cat - long before Mr. Sewell came along! ;D Give Little Rufus another cuddle from me, please. This is such a beautiful photo

Yes she does seem to be liking the new diet and doing ok. I have tried the Purina dried food and wet first. He gave me a choice of that or Science Plan. Getting a urine sample. Tell me about it!! I have to get another one and take her back to be checked in a few weeks!!! Hugs to Kitty. Hopes she keeps well on her special diet. What would we do without our gorgeous little faithful friends!

What would we do without our gorgeous little faithful friends! You're so right, Robela! My cat just turned 3, and for us that's special, cause the 3 cats we had before unfortunately all died in their second year (2 were run over by a car, and one had a stroke). I want to keep this one for at least 14 years more!

Do you think that's a 'porn' tash he's got going on there? ;D Might well be. But, being a cat, I think he's excused ;D
