ASF was filmed forever and a year ago. That's going to be hard to weed out unless you speak directly to those involved in the production.

I'm going to pass on that quest. Too much time that could be spent googling otherwise.

I checked about 30 pages of the 3 different titles and nothing came up but Simi Valley, CA.
Oh and good find Uke on that wrap photo!

Okay, you guys find THIS but you can't tell me exactly WHERE in the Simi Valley "At Sachem Farm" was filmed? (*taps foot impatiently*)
Somewhere in my videotape collection of various Rufus activities over the ages, I have a little clip of himself with the Driver sisters. Perhaps it narrows down the location on that.
Will report back.

[He looks happy... and tall. How odd that Ruf would look so tall in a group of Canadians.] I think that Roof is "long torsoed" -- that's in addition to his 6-foot-tall height and he's not slouching in his chair like some of the others either!! (do I sound like our mothers? ) -- Uke, what a great find -- thanks for the picture. Guess that's the end of our mystery-solving game for now. (what'll we do?) "Now you've reached that dream, it's only natural that you feel some loss." (this quote will be easy for all of you) Don't worry -- as Rai said . . . on to John Adams!

So I did a little grubbing around today on this project and I've got to tell you, I can't wait to see it. Even if it was complete happenstance it might turn out to be magic for Rufus. The director, if I can judge by what's online, has a great eye. Rufus is a good enough actor to give an amazing performance even if the director turns out to be a little "image oriented" rather than actor oriented. His background is in music video so it should look very fresh and exciting. I like the story. It's an interesting concept.
I like Maria Bello quiet a lot and I like the off center projects she typically picks to work on like The History of Violence which was a tremendous picture. I like the fact that she is very outspoken about the Hollywood machine as well. It "seems" to be a return to Rufus' roots and the sort of things he did early in his career where he wasn't such a "sweetie pie". I want to see him do some of this exciting sexy edgy stuff like he did when he first started out. I'm tired of the cravats and the wigs and the genteel airs. Even when he's bad, he's so refined about it, it loses some of the fun. I want one of facets he displays to be "selfish" or "egotistical" or "scary" or "perverse". I want to be attracted to him while he's doing something absolutely unthinkable. I want to see him hurt someone and see him enjoy it.
There is a whole side to his repertoire that he hasn't used in years and I want to see it again. I'm hoping this picture will be the start of a new direction for his career.
It's all very exciting.

! Excellent gift to return home to!!!! THANK YOU, UKE! It took me a bit to find him (yeah, I know, he's front and center!) because he just looks so rested and his hair seems lighter (I guess it's the lighting)........so I had to search a bit for him! But now we KNOW what he's been doing and we have ANOTHER film to look forward too! He sure went from unemployed to working on two films really quickly!!! YAY! Michelle

IMDB has finally updated Roof's bio with Downloading Nancy. The character's name is Albert, Uke...
and they are saying the release date is still 2007...

If you look at shooting locations for Downloading Nancy, one of them listed is Shreveport, La. Shreveport happens to be a bit of an ancestral hometown of mine. I'm wondering, did I miss out on a chance encounter with Mr. Sewell by not going to visit my sister last month? Probably not, but exactly which parts where filmed there?

I don't think anyone is sure that they actually film in Louisiana. If Rufus was there, we didn't know about it.
