I knew you were a truly caring person ruthie - not only did you make the sacrifice to go to the screening on our behalf, you made sure to check on Rufus afterwards and snuggled up to him to keep the poor love warm in the chilly autumn night air!!!!
You are truly our hero(ine)!!!! ;D

Ruthie/Manuela, how fantastic that you met our lovely Rufus!!! Thank you for posting your pictures (with help from dreamer, thank you), you all look so happy in the photos and Rufus looks just beautiful. I am so glad that you got the opportunity to talk to him and that you found him to be so pleasant. I look forward to the day when I will hopefully get my chance!
And numbat, I have noticed the youngsers at uni wearing floppy scarves, even with just a t-shirt! I guess we all made our own fashion statements once!

I agree Ellie, i've seen the "youngsters" (saying that makes me feel terribly old!!) wearing floppy scarves with t-shirts here too, i just don't know that it's a fashion that (almost) middle aged men should be embracing!!!!

I know what you mean but I am of the opinion that he should wear whatever he likes, especially if it looks good and let's face it, whenever does he not look good?

So am i Ellie - he's a grown man and it's a free world!!! I was only passing comment that i originally thought it was an odd fashion trend when i saw Damian Lewis wearing it in July, and then a few months later i see Rufus wearing nearly the exact same thing!!!! Believe me, the earth will shift on it's axis when I understand fashion (whispers - BTW, i also prefer him beautifully clean shaven, but god forbid i should mention that lest i get kicked off the board by the beard lovers, hehehehe!!!) Vive la difference

MANUELA, I'm so happy that you were able to meet and speak with Rufus. What a dream come true!! And thank you for sharing those fabulous pics of you, your friend, and Rufus with us. He is so handsome in your pics...... and they were not touched up professional photos. And BTW you looked lovely, you are beaming !
DREAMER, thank you for sharing your expertise so that we are all able to see Manuela's pics of Rufus.
RAI, I love how you mentioned that Rufus had a "metro sexual scarf around his neck". My first thought was that any " ......... sexual" scarf would be just fine with me !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruthie, aren't you glad you made the effort? (Silly rhetorical question, I know) It looks like you had a great time, and I thought that was kind and game of your friend to accompany you. Because let's face it, some of our friends might just roll their eyes at even a mention Rufus, let alone go with us to an event he's attending with the hope of meeting him. Thank you for sharing your pics with us. I'm sure you smart and lovely looking ladies couldn't help but have raised the esteem of this forum in Rufus' eyes, hee hee, way to represent! Most of all, it must have really felt good to make him laugh.
