They made us suffer while we waited for it though, if that's any consolation!!!!

But any suffering is worth it for Rufus, right?

Everyone, you can download the interview as an mp3 here: Right click and saveThanks to dippy and her hubby for finding this link. The one thing I can't do is put it on www.roofsewell.com. Maxx used to be in charge of the website but we haven't heard from her in a while.

Thanks from me, too! Judy, that was the problem. How dare they interrupt my Rufus! I listened to the clip again and he says that he is open to doing bad-guy parts again. I was hoping he wouldn't give them up completely.

[/quote] I was actually hoping he would give them up. I like him so much more as a nice guy. But perhaps there is a part in the offing and he feels he needs to be able to do it. Awhile ago I read about a remake of dark city but they wanted to make John Murdoch "nasty" according to Alex Proyuz (I hope I spelled that right). I am hoping tha he does not get "stuck" in those parts. Any way I hope the next movie he makes is more successful than the last two. He deserves that success. And I am glad he took a shot at CBS they deserve it.

I caught the last 20 minutes. They were talking about Vinyan & Calvaire and Downloading Nancy. Then the good stuff - POTE still going on and Roof's happy with the various production companies, so no one entity has a hold over what they do. He took a good shot at CBS, saying how one person can tell you what color your hair or shoes should be. Ha! Also mentioned the stage next year. Possibly something small? Then they joked it was really Oklahoma! ;D Would like to hear the whole interview if it is rebroadcast at some point. Good stuff! Rai Except for the singing I think Rufus might actually be good in Oklahoma but I think that they were poking fun at the something small. I do not think any appearance by him could be small. I am only upset because it will not be in the US. I hope it goes to video. I am really suffering from Rufus withdrawal and the last two movies are not movies I can watch more than once.

I'm hoping that he will do something with a bit of comedy in it, like TOTS, which I think he was superb in!

Me, too, Ruthie! Petruchio is my favorite of all the Rufus roles I've seen to date. Rufus has got really good comic timing and with that oh-so-expressive face of his, he does comedy brilliantly.

Awhile ago I read about a remake of dark city but they wanted to make John Murdoch "nasty"... I just watched Dark City (the new Director's Cut) last night and I can see where the director could take the John Murdoch character in that direction. Maybe as a sequel perhaps. I really loved Roof's facial expressions towards the end of the movie where John Murdoch realized that he now held all the power. He had this glint in his eye that wasn't completely "good." I could see where Murdoch could very easily be a not-so-nice guy. But I'm with you ... I wouldn't want to see that kind of remake or sequel. And I doubt Rufus would do it anyway since he obviously is trying to do a wide variety of roles.
