Bouquets to Spice for finding and alerting me to this. A Twitterer has posted that, on 18 July: Nocturne will be performed at the Wigmore Hall as part of the London Pianoforte Series in July with Harriet Walter and Rufus Sewelltwitter.com/fcbrrufus/statuses/8300387353However, there is nothing on the Wigmore Hall website currently about this, so I think h/she must have got it from the website of Lucy Parham, the pianist for the production: www.lucyparham.com/news_diary.htmNote the 14 February date at the Salisbury Playhouse!!! BUT..... the Salisbury Playhouse website has a different actor appearing: www.salisburyplayhouse.com/index.php?plid=122&show=infoBUT....do a search for Rufus and this hit comes up for that performance: www.salisburyplayhouse.com/index.php?pid=94Is he or isn't he?? Seems like single performances only, IF he's doing either or both. The box office for both the Wigmore Hall and the Salisbury Playhouse are closed right now, so maybe somebody can check tomorrow (I won't be able to phone until the evening, so if anyone else can check, please go ahead) So it's a cautious "Yay..?" Don't book your plane tickets yet!

LOL! I saw that Tweet and did much the same search. I like how there were asterisks next to all the actors names and the small print at the bottom warning "appearing subject to availability." It's kind of like they're doing a wishlist for actors they'd like to have appear!
(I don't have my passport yet, so no booking of flights for me yet!)

Pity - I thought we could kidnap Ms Parham and substitute you instead! You could rustle up some Chopin on your new baby grand, couldn't you? ;D

GE2, Let us know what you're able to find out for us. Thanks for all of the links. I hope you will be able to discover the truth for us. I don't put too much trust in posts on Twitter but this one may be correct. RAI, where are you Is there a way you are able to contact Rufus to verify? And please get as many details as you can. My sister and I may have to start booking airline tickets, a hotel room, plan pedicures, manicures, etc., etc., etc.

Maz, Thank you so much for the info and clarification. We will all wait with great anticipation about his possible appearance at Wigmore Hall. Do you know if it will be just a one night performance at Wigmore? If so, I would not be able to attend. However, perhaps some of you ladies who live in or near London will be able to attend. And........ you could video tape the performance, and............ post it here on the board for all of us to enjoy !! Is that illegal ?? Oh, please don't be at all concerned. All of us Rufus fan-girlies can keep a secret. We would not tell anyone, right We are ever so trustworthy concerning the well being of our talented genius.

Thanks for checking, Maz - shame about Salisbury, that's pretty easy for me to get to. (Hmmmmm......wonder what he's doing then that prevents him appearing on 14 February? Filming something somewhere, maybe?? Spice, Lucy Parham's website seems to indicate that 18 July (if that is confirmed) is a one-off performance. As for taping it - you jest, methinks! No chance anyone would get away with that!!

GE2, Of course I was jesting about doing something illegal to see Rufus in a performance. But sometimes a Rufus fan-girlie like me has to do what she has to do.................. Actually, I noticed on the Wigmore Hall site that they do have CDs of some performances. Do you know if they offer DVDs ? Wouldn't that be great if they offered one of Ruf's performance in 'Nocturne"

OMG, LOL, you know me too well !!!! YES, I did email Wigmore Hall yesterday and asked if they would be producing and offering the DVD of Ruf's performance in July, if he in fact does appear. I will post their answer on the board as soon as I receive an answer.

Do you think Rufus is just being kind to us by not appearing on 14th February as he knows what chaos and heartbreak it would cause? Could you imagine, if you have a loved one, saying 'Happy Valentine's Day, and I'm now off to see Rufus ;D Thanks Rufus for not making waves and putting temptation in our way. I'm sure the people who we share our lives with think they are number one, but come to the crunch Rufus, I think you know that we fans could not resist you
