Omigosh, that is so fun to see GE2!! What great news, and such a treat to see that little filming snippet right off the bat. Rufus does look so uber-beautiful, so much so that he even makes the homely Angelina look pretty as he stands next to her; it's a pity so few find her attractive (HA). Interestingly, in a post query on this site surely over a year ago, Jolie was my main pic of co-star to pair him with (besides Winslett who is hands down my fav actress) and no doubt this is a good film for Roof to be in no matter how small the role. And if the script is still in the writing stage--who knows?, they could expand his role. Fingers crossed on that anyway. It's funny, because of the media circus that surrounds the so-called "Brangelina" duo, and Johnny Depp to a lesser extent, lands Rufus in world-wide-media central right now, ha ha. Only the Olympics are a "hotter" spot in cold Vancouver. A little extra media exposure for Rufus wouldn't hurt, but I'm sure he'll see an up-close eyeful of how hellish the paps can be for the A+ list stars during filming. However, Johnny Depp has managed to keep a (somewhat) low profile even with his megawatt stardom, and yet still has his pick of the best roles (which any actor would envy). Of course, doesn't Depp live in France or England, where the glare is not SO nutso? I have to wonder if that isn't a big part of his choosing to live there (besides his lady being French, of course) If I had my choice, and lots of money, I might pick Italy. For the beautiful landscape, the warm people, fabulous fashion, amazing architecture, and last but not least, for the wine and incredible FOOD.

Definitely wearing G-man style clothing, didn't notice any bottom tapping--he looks so good anyone but Brad Pitt would have to be worried, hee hee hee!!! I'll bet he'll be even better dressed in Vendetta, maybe get a bespoke Italian suit out of the deal!!

I loved "The lives of others", the director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year in the 2007 and many other awards. Heard from Roof again this evening! He says "don't get too excited" about the role - it's small but cool. Big or small role - don't mind, what is important is that it is of good quality and we get to see him on screen more. These projects seem interesting and cannot wait to see them! I'm not a huge fan of Angelina Jolie's work, but I was impressed with her role in Changeling and as for Johnny Depp, well, after Rufus, he is the man!!  Thanks GE2, Rai and Dreamer! |

What a great news!! Thank you GE2 for finding this. Surely we will see this on theatres here too!!! It doesn't matter if it's a small role. Having Depp in the cast will convince my best friend about coming with me Doesn't he look gorgeous???  Rome? Paris? Ok, Rufus... I know what you are doing... you are approaching to Spain... yes it's a nice place, nice weather, nice food, nice fangirls like myself... next job maybe in Barcelona??? > ! this is going to be THE year for rufus fans. movies AND tv. yum yum. although i object to the royal blue pants. urgh. i couild not observe any bottom tapping either. as for the angelina discussion, i will raise my index finger GE2 style here, and get up on my soap box. ok, i understand, we are sick and tired to see brangelina 12 times during every visit to the grocery store. but i think they may be tired of that too. why are they there? because WE buy the mags. so let's remember that her job is movies, and not pin up girl. i understand that liking a performance from any artist is highly subjective, but I DEFY any one to see Gia, Girl Interrupted, and even The Bone Collector, and to tell me to my face that there is not a good actress in there. and as far as johnny depp goes, if ever you say anything bad about him, i will cry. down the soap box. ;D anyways... we KNOW rufus is the best character actor of his generation, so OF COURSE he will be good. and gorgeous. and adorable. if he does not play a cold blooded killer, of course. hmmm. that would be kind of cool, actually.  |

Hey Tipou...come and visit me. Johnny Depps mom lives about 4 miles from me. He does come here from time to time! This movie should be a good one. Cant wait to see Rufus in it!!!

Hey Tipou I hope I didn't offend with my AJ comment :  . I have to admit I did enjoy the Bone Collector other than that can only remember seeing Mr and Mrs and Wanted with AJ in- neither of which were my choice in movies so I'm not surprised they wern't my cup of tea. No problems with her at all. I've been recommended the Changling so maybe I'll take a look at it. Rufus will of course improve the movie hugely and having Johnny Depp in the line up can't do any harm now can it . |
