Frannie, how in the world did I miss this story? To think this little gem has been waiting for me all this time. I enjoyed it immensely.

Hi Rachel, Midoro is right, it is very good to see you writing again . I have just finished fun time with Hood and Rachel for the second time and enjoyed it immensely. I have left a review for you on Fan Fiction. Thank you my friend. Hope for more soon . Hi, Rachel. I left the above post for you to let you know I had written a review for you on FF.net. Safely, I had supposed!! I went back to the site tonight to see how it looked. No sign of the review . Don't know what happened. If it was my fault, (and if you remember my past form, there is a distinct possibility that it could be ), my apologies! I have left another one for you. If the first one turns up, well, you'll have two. I did enjoy your story, my friend.

Don’t worry about it Frannie, all websites have their glitches.
I did love your prequel to TOTS. But now that we’ve had grandad’s story how about dad’s? I do wonder how Petruchio came to be so aimless. I would think even a cash poor aristocrat would have a bit more pride.

Hi ,Rachel. Brilliant suggestions .I will take you up on them. I will have to think about Dad , but reading your comment on Petruchio and the frame work of his early story shot into my head. I’m in the polishing of a Parker story at the moment but it will be the next one. A clue….I will be robbing Shakespeare yet again …… No! The only part relating to TOTS is Petruchio and his name. Think bad boy… and the history plays!! It might have been the same lad reincarnated. Any Guesses?

Nah! Think again ! Right sort of direction. Wrong Nationality. Wild lad. Liked to drink in early youth. Reformed Perhaps a little like Petruchio’s alter ego.

I did love your prequel to TOTS. But now that we’ve had grandad’s story ……… Rachel, another sleepless night, aimless thoughts, so may I ask you what you think of grandad(Peter)? I must confess I rather fell in love with him. Almost as much as Petruchio. Hence the long story.

He was a complex character. I don’t blame him for the affair, but I do blame him for the treatment of his wife and child. He knew he didn’t love his wife when he returned from the war, he should have been honest and told her so. She should not have had to put up with being second best. And it came down to the next generation as his son had no idea of what a good marriage looked like. Thus his own poor marriage.

Yup Rachel! I agree with most your comments on Peter but I do think that you answer your own earlier question. I do wonder how Petruchio came to be so aimless. I would think even a cash poor aristocrat would have a bit more pride. I don't think that Peter is the cause of Petruchio's aimlessness, or his father's broken marriage. After all, when Petruchio takes Kate to his home, he tells her he comes from long line of useless, feckless wastrels etc, etc.

There are two new EH stories over at fanfiction.net. They are short alternate takes on some scenes from the show. I thought they were quite well done.
