Watched the first the first episode last night (recorded them all), it was very good. The two of them work really well together and love the storyline so far.

I just saw a preview for PBS in America and Sherlock will be broadcast this fall. I am very much looking forward to it, but i haven't seen the actual dates yet.

PBS shows Masterpiece Classic from January thru April, so the earliest we could get Zen would be May.
I am very much looking forward to Kenny's return as Wallander, he plays that character so very well.

Some US friends tell me that Sherlock is due to be shown on PBS stations this weekend - keep a look out for it and do tell us what you think of it!

I saw in yesterdays newspaper that they are currently filming another series of Sherlock. There was a photo of them filming in Richmond Park.

Yaaay! The first "season" (all three episodes) are playing on Masterpiece on PBS starting this Sunday evening!!! My DVR is all set to record!
(I saw a Tweet from Stephen Fry that indicated that he's going to be in the new Sherlock season!)
-----------
Oops! Updated: another Stephen Fry Tweet clarified that he's playing Sherlock's brother Mycroft in the MOVIE version with RDJ and Jude Law. Not the TV series.

As the series is not to be seen on German TV, I purchased the movie. If you've read the Sherlock Holmes stories, it's quite a mix-up of them, but it's funny and thrilling.

Saw this for the first time on Masterpiece last pm. Really liked this modern version. Leads were very good! Now I just need some Zen!

I saw the first episode last night also. It was very entertaining. I didn't mind the updates at all, because they were done with a wink and it made sense because the story was set in the present (unlike in the RDJ version, which couldn't make up its mind whether to be historical or modern). For some reason, I loved Mrs Hudson repeatedly telling them, "I'm not your housekeeper." I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

I also saw the first episode last night and loved it! The approach of Sherlock as a total outsider with a genius for picking up clues and his almost lack of humanity worked really well. I liked the Watson character as well, and feel the chemistry between Sherlock and Watson is easy, unforced and authentic. Wish that Rupert Graves had a bigger role, but perhaps in subsequent episodes we will see more of him and develop his character further.

So glad you liked it - it's always a bit of a nail-biter to recommend something so highly, in case other people hate it.
Be warned, though, the second one isn't anywhere near as good as the first - and no Rupert Graves.
However, the final one is back up to top form (same writer as the first), if at breakneck speed, so I'm sure you'll love that one, too.

Just saw the first episode, which I had recorded. Really, really enjoyed it! So funny how everyone one assumed Sherlock & Watson were gay. Ha! Looking forward to the next two (and a whole second series as well!).

I already download the first part. I'm very curious about it, here are many good reviews.
