What is the full plot of The Sea about. Is Rufus the villain or the cool hero

tc back up a page GE2's article describes in probably as puch details as anyone will want what it's about. I will add that in the book Rufus's character is an ok guy and quite a quirky and interesting character. He along with just about everybody else in the film was in the past in Max's childhood. It is a really small part in the book so let's hope they fill it out a bit.

GE2 I think the 5 weeks at Rossalaire only because the movie is done in three parts. So if true to the book Rufus part should come first. And yes our man does love offbeat parts.

This is such great news! Filming in Ireland for 5 weeks! From not being very keen on this I now think it will be a really good film. So excited about it. Its so nice to have so much of Rufus to look forward to!!

When Nell and I were at the National Theatre on Friday, before delivering the birthday card, we noticed that both Ciarin Hinds and Sinead Cusack are due to be in a play there from mid-November to early January. On the backstage tour we took at the NT, we were told that there is usually around 6 weeks of rehearsal for each play, so they'd be starting that this week.

That being the case, if Ciarin and Sinead are still attached to The Sea, filming won't be until next year now. Unless Rufus's role is shot separately, of course.

Maybe he'll film the gangster flick first?

They do not need to film together. Ciaran plays Max as the middle aged man and Sinead as his wife . and Rufus as Carlo meets Max as a child.

I think it's perhaps more of a summer project anyway.

Early next year will be here before we know it. Hope Rufus is still signed on! Not really sure what The Sea is all about so I may have to get the book as well.
