Thank you Sam & Martina! How funny that having to listen to the translator in his ear makes Rufus sit still. He wasn't nearly as fidgety as he normally is. And those clips from TPOTE ... I now have greater sympathy for those of you who have to listen to a dubbed voice instead of Roof's oh-so-lovely voice. Whatever happened to sub-titles? Love, love, LOVE those screenshots, too. P.S. Sam, I edited your post to fix the hyperlink. It should take everyone straight to your Facebook video now.

and thanks Judy. I originally wanted to do the same as you did but I'm not as smart as you´re.
Well, it's quite difficult to listen to it for me, but I'm happy for German translation because I can understand more. ;D

Thanks Victorygirl, Stama, and Judy. It was fun to see him do the interview, but so irritating to hear the loud translator over his voice. I think if I was German I would have preffered to watch POTE hearing the actors real voice (and emotion) with translated subtitles. That's the way I watch French, Italian and other countries movies (with English subtitles) and it works just fine. Now if anyone is up to translating this interview into English for us, that would be just great. ;D It kills me that this seems to be one of his longer POTE interviews and I can't understand/hear but a few of words! I'm sure all the non-native English speakers are reading this and thinking "now you know how WE feel!" about always having to hear so much of Rufus media/movies in English!

I've found that interview yesterday too and was so glad it was subtitled so I could hear the original voice!
In Germany, movies on TV hardly ever come with subtitles (only on artsy channels like arte) ...
If I can find the time during the next days, I'll give it a try with the translation of the questions (however, they were rather stupid again).

I hope everyone can see the vid now?! If not tell me! BTW, I like his laugh when the interviewer asked him the "women question". You can hear that the translator guy is laughing too, so funny! And the IKEA part is hilarious too. Rufus serious face, priceless

Germanlady, if I'm not mistaken, your link is to the 2nd interview! I think, there must be another one, too.
And I can make a translation, but I'm afraid it will take a little time now because unfortunately at the moment there are a lot of other things to do for me....

Thanks, Sam and Martina! It was very kind of you to tape this and post this for us. He looked great! I had a hard time hearing Rufus over the translator, so I couldn't hear the "woman" question. Would anyone like to explain? I guess since we're all friends here I can tell you that when I first listened, and the translator started speaking over Rufus, I turned up the volume so I could hear Rufus better and was very annoyed and shocked that the translator got louder too! ;D In my defense, it's only 5 am here, and I'm waiting for the coffee maker to finish brewing and bring me to semiconsciousness. It was interesting to hear the "German" Rufus--although I prefer the original flavor. I always wonder if they consistently use the same dubbers for the same actors or not. I know that (until now) Rufus is not really famous in Germany, but when they dub someone who is in a lot of popular movies, like Tom Hanks or George Clooney, do they try to use the same voice actors? I suppose not, but it would make it less confusing, I would think.

I wanted to write down the whole interview in English, but I don't have the time for it at the moment. But I can explain the women question for you:
Interviewer after the scene between Tom and Phillip: "This is a moment when lot of people are watching, women too, and they started to languish when they see you and thinking "what a man". When you play do you think about this?"
Rufus and translator: laughing! (the funny thing, the translator is laughing a few seconds more than Rufus. You can hear that he's trying to stop himself laughing!)
Hope you understand my "Swiss-English"?! ;D

I suppose not, but it would make it less confusing, I would think. Oh yes, they normally do. I've seen an old Hanks film once with a different voice and it really irritated me because I think his "usual" German voice is very good. However, I'm not sure about Rufus, but I can look it up.
