Oh, thank you for that, Rueful! That's one of my favourite scenes, especially where poor Ross can't let go of her hand. How can anyone not love Ross in that scene? Mean, nasty Kendal! (Apart from her hair. LOVE that hair)

Yeah, I know its just a movie and part of the story, but I would never pick the dull diver guy over Ross. No way, no way, no way! HeHeHe. Do love her hair, coming from someone with fine, straight dark hair.

I think that scene was genius and definitely one of my favourites. I remember when I watched that scene for the first time and thought "Aww, Kendall, please turn around a give him a hug or something!" and she did!!!! If I were her though, I definitely would've stayed in Ross' arms for the remainder of time and not go off looking for a boring diver.

Aww, well the more I watch it the more I see the little plot holes, or cliches rather, but it's just a feel-good movie for me. It's not perfect, but I still love it. One of my favorite things about it is the music, actually. <3 My brother has seen it 3 times now because he happens to be in a situation where he can't get away when I'm watching it with family or something, and this last time he actually said he wanted to watch it, because of the music! I was astonished! He usually hates anything to do with Rufus.

BRING THE EXTERMINATORS!!!!! ***PSSSCCCHHHHHHHHH*** ouh. i had it coming. feel better now. tipou, from what you are saying I understand that your teeth hurt from so much sweet, hm? that could make anyone say stuff like that (I should know that). ;D Luckily we or should I say I am seeing the film after many other serious Rufus'es ones, so it does not bother me so much, it sort of fills in some other parts of his image as an actor that the serious roles kept empty. If I could watch "The Holiday" for its 10 minutes combined of Rufus, I can watch this one for sure! Ross as a character is not exactly my type, neither is that type of a film, and if I decide to be completely honest, I have to say I wouldn't watch the movie, if not for having more of Rufus. But at the same time there is something very soft and lovable about that character and about the story. Sweet, soft, candy-like, entertaining, colorful...and more than an hour of continuous on screen-Rufus! (at the moment it was all I needed to stay watching) In the beginning, when I was young and naive, I did not like Rufus at all. I mean after watching "Bless the Child", even after watching T&I. I made a copy of T&I for my Dad and forgot about it. That was a different emotional period for me, so my likes and dislikes were also different. I can't remember how exactly happened that I fell in love with our man, or I am just too lazy to start figuring that one out, but the fact is (for me) it was not about one movie or one character that Rufus has played. It was more of a happy accident ;D, a combination of the right film at the right time in the right mood (and probably a subconscious image I have in my silly emotional mind). All those words I brought up to say that it is not one movie that will make me fall for an actor or a real man in my life, it is more of the prepared soil where the seed can grow stronger (so to speak). So, tipou , don't feel bad about hating the movie, or not loving it/him enough. It is only a seed in a bowl of many others. BTW, I think some bad comments (properly justified!!! ) would do much good, not only for the board and its emotional clarity, but also if the real Rufus is reading it from time to time. If he is not visiting our place, than at least we can say with pure hearts we have been objective even when in deep and utter love for that character.

Are you sure you aren't a writer in real life? Love the reference to the "happy accident" as well. That's one of my absolute favourite quotes of his

:'(true, chocolate writes very well!!! and i love the happy accident quotes (choc's and roof's both) , i like the way this expressions allows for surprises to enter our lives and sometimes prove us wrong. it is true in every aspects of live, and this movie Uncorked is certainly a little bit about that. "happy accidents" certainly applies to my discovery of rufus too, how the totally out of the blue viewing of "Out of the Blue" made me realize, well, i have seen this brilliant (and gorgeous) actor before, but where??? so i IMDB'd him and found out that he was the brilliant (and gorgeous) man i had noticed, and sometimes booed as the very effective villain, in so many movies. happy accident indeed. what is nice about getting older is that you let these things enter your life... my art production increased tenfold when i provided space for "happy accidents". i met all of my best friends through "happy accidents", come to think of it... so maybe one day, i will watch Uncorked again, and, like my own personal uncle cullen, it will reveal to me its happily accidental message. so far, though, it has not happened. i am as hard headed as ross is. fortunately, i am not so much of a wuss though. and also, choc, i certainly hope that, if he reads this board, rufus appreciates objectivity... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D because i will go further in the neg comment, and disagree with choc on one thing. i dont even think that rufus was very good in this movie. he certainly was decorative, but his acting looked fake to me, as he was "playing cute" quite too evidently. he is so much much much more than cute. i like that in most of his roles (even in extrem ops, for heaven's sake) he was always able to show a complex character. case examples among countless others: his villain in a knight's tale had a "hurting kid" side to it, even as the tourist, he succeeded in a cameo appearance to play a guy playing a playboy. i cannot find such depth in Uncorked. and, yes, the songs are good, but god! must they ask the actors to fill the scenario voids by artfully pouting and playing with pillows while the score invades the story??? that was all very bothersome and irritating to me. so this movie will probably be the only occasion anyone will read me saying "rufus was not very good in it". one out of 30-something ain't bad, is it? is it. rufus darling? do you hate me much??? you KNOW i love you to death, don't you? don't you?

Thank you both, megagem and tipou. I thought you would say my writing is way too long! (I would describe it as another happy accident...) I am not a writer, but I do use my passion at the moment and it brings out of me sides I have forgotten existed... Although I do understand and partially agree with tupou, I think it is quite an achievement for an actor with such strong screen presence, charm and the gift to act and lead , to become "so much of a wuss". I think he was only trying to recreate the character, and probably it was not as easy as he though would be. Don't worry, tipou, he is not reading here, and if he is he knows you and we all DO love him. I only hope he appreciates objectivity ;D.

I thought you would say my writing is way too long! (I would describe it as another happy accident...) Oooh no. Never worry about your writing being way too long (this is coming from a person who, when set loose, can write something as long as --if not longer than-- the Domesday Book. Just ask Fzen! ) I am not a writer, but I do use my passion at the moment and it brings out of me sides I have forgotten existed... I love this. Very well put and I very much encourage it!
