Please remember, ladies: no speculation about Rufus's private life!
Sorry, but can we keep this thread for interviews with Rufus for Zen, please. Thanks.

Oooh, lovely - thank you, Anniem and Rai! That's definitely a swoonalicious big pic!! I picked up Radio Times, TV Times, and also TV Guide (the others weren't in the store I went to on Christmas Eve, so I'll have a look for others tomorrow) - here's what's in the latter: Thank you GE2 I bought Total TV this morning. Great scans !

had a one of my bad nights last night . M(o)B the 2nd most wonderful man is still not back in work so he said, have a sleep on. Then about 11 am he woke me up with a cup of tea, some toast and throwing the Radio Times on the bed said "Here's your fella for you" So I plumped up the pillows and snuggled back down and drooled. Ps There are times whem M(o)B comes pretty close to Rufus . Almost but not quite!!!!

Awww, how sweet Frannie! You ladies are lucky who have understanding partners and kids. My hubby and kids are still clueless as to my Rufus-itis. My kids kind of suspect since I watched TPOTE several times. They teased me about it. Hubby recognizes him on TV sometimes. Sorry, I digressed from the topic of this thread. If I haven't already, thank you ladies for the wonderful articles and pics!

Want a laugh? While I was leafing through it, someone put a different magazine on top of the pile of the TV Guides, covering Rufus's face.......so I waited until the person moved away, then uncovered it. When I went past a little later, his face was hidden again, so I uncoverd it again! ;D I think the security guard was keeping an eye on me after that..... LOL! I hope Rufus appreciates the crazy things we'll do for him!

Love all the Zenliness! Enjoying all the pics and articles!
LOL at GE2 and Nell...would have done the same thing!
Frannie...your hubby is so sweet. Mine is aware of my "crush", but he has no idea the extent! I imagine he will have a better idea after the credit card bill for my latest purchase comes in!

I hope it comes soon for you Walt. Just think we'll have another round of magazine features to look forward to - hopefully. Sadly no child available to bribe so I had to bluff it out at the shop. I imagine the look I got was similar to the one GE2 got when I tried to disguise the fact I had 3 tv guides under a pack of bacon and some cough sweets. The 4th tv guide fell into my shopping basket at the supermarket. That's what I told hubby in any case ;D Frannie - fancy having him served up to you in bed like that That must have scored hubby a few brownie points at least. With that medicine I hope you have a better night tonight.

Thank you, GreenEyesToo, for this wonderful link to the BBC4 interview. Appreciate that very much... A wonderful talk about so many different things, of course about Zen, but about so much more, even about how becoming a father changed his life and that the stage is the place where he is allowed to show all his facets best. Looking forward to listen to it again tonight. Looks like there will be a download available afterwards. Just for now, Rufus is first heard at 9.08 but the main part is between 9.13 and 9.20, he is on again from 9.27-9.28 and a last time at 10.43. Enjoyed the interview and 'our' lovely Rufus.

Just listened to radio 4 but missed his interview! Did catch the end ofof it and heard Libby Purves (the interveiwer having a laugh with Rufus about his food stealing days (comparing a young Maggie Thatcher to an Early Rufus sewell!). Did anyone else catch it? Fortunately for me it will be played on BBC iPlayer soon.

If I'm not mistaken the lady interviewed is doing theatre with prisoners and she told about her experiences working with them. In an early job Rufus had performed with his actors group in a local prison, too. And he told that then he had realized how lucky he himself had been not to go to prison for some little petty theft.

Dippy, it's repeated tonight at 9.30pm, but should be up on the i-Player soon anyway. You could download this to save it for yourself: www.mp3mymp3.com/mp3_my_mp3_recorder.htmlIt was a very good interview, or discussion really, and he does make the odd comment all the way through, as well as the main times that germanlady has given. Apart from Zen, he touched on things we have heard/read him say before - he talked about how obstinate he can be where work is concerned, being prepared to live a "limited life-style" while waiting for the right role, how he began to view his own father differently after becoming a father himself, how he feels theatre is the only forum where he can show his true capabilities and how "I'll be damned if I'll be typecast there". In contrast to the Loose Ends interview earlier in the year, this wasn't a lot of people talking over each other, more of a natural progression of topics. It would have been nice if they had played part of the interviews from 10 years ago, but of course time was limited. Wish it had just been Rufus, though!

Those in the UK, don't forget the Daybreak interview tomorrow morning on ITV1!
Thank goodness I won't have to look at Adrian Chiles first thing in the morning, is all I can say - he's on leave!

Then about 11 am he woke me up with a cup of tea, some toast and throwing the Radio Times on the bed said "Here's your fella for you" Oh, how sweet is that?! As I cannot hide a very broad and very stupid smile whenever Rufus is mentioned anywhere, Mr. KMK is well aware of my recent affliction and stubbornly refuses to watch any films with that green-eyed man ("I don't understand what you see in him" ) ... but he's got lots of business paperwork to do at his office this afternoon and said "you can watch your Rufus all the time". Sure I will!! Back on topic: I'm seriously considering e-mailing ZDF again to inquire when Zen will air in Germany ...
