Can I add my welcome to you RoseofKilgannnon/Silvia. I am new on the site too and am so enjoying being able to share my adoration of Rufus with like minders. I am struggling a bit with the site (not good with IT) must improve. Must get some advice from some of the great people of here EH has not been shown in England so don't know much about that yet but everyone seems to like Jacob Hood so I am sure I will eventually get to see it. I am doing TOTS and Tristan & Isolde at present so am in for a treat. Rufus is such a great actor and soo handsome that everything he is in excels and I think Zen will make him a big name which I hope won't spoil him. He is such a lovely unpretentious guy. Look forward to seeing you round the site.

Robela, EH was shown in the UK on a digital channel and the DVDs were only available in the US, so you'll need to see if you can view the episodes online, I'm afraid.

Thanks for that info GE2, I have a lot to get through (lovingly) before I become desperate to see EH. In the interview Rufus did for Zen on BBC he implies that they didn't give him much leeway to put what he wanted into the part and that he was relieved when the series ended! If it comes out on DVD at some stage I will probably get it and watch but American series are not my favourite type of thing to watch. Although I will watch anything with Rufus in it. I will probably have to eat my words as I am sure it is wonderful (just because of Rufus)

but American series are not my favourite type of thing to watch. Judging from his comments on EH, it didn't seem to be Rufus's favourite kind of thing to play in after all I think the BBC understands his kind of humour much better and giving him a lot more freedom in how he wants to portray Aurelio Zen. If I remember correctly, the American channel behind EH (I've forgotten which one it was - CBS?) changed too many things around even after the scenes were shot and he couldn't develop the Jacob character as he would have liked to.

Hope it works.

Thanks Zenina for the link and KissmeKate, glad you agree that he did not seem that enamoured with the part. Don't think he liked being tied to that part and not be able to put his own interpretation into the part. I'm glad that they cancelled it because he may not have been free to do Zen if they hadn't!!! I think they tie them into a contract sometimes in Hollywood and they are not free to do anything else. Thats not our Rufus. He always has chosen the parts he wanted to play and he himself says he is a picky begger!!

Oh, thanks for the link, Zenina, I've been wondering if something like that exists as there's no Region 2 DVD of EH.
Probably it was, in hindsight, one of the famous "happy accidents" that EH was cancelled - just imagine TPOTE and Zen without our dearest!
