Hello ladies, I'm Sylvia from the area of Cologne (Germany). I found Rufus last year when "The eleventh hour" was telecasted here in Germany. Thanks Google and Wikipedia I found out that he would act Tom Builder in the "pillars of the earth". In the meantime I bought Tristan & Isolde via Amazon and lost my heart to Lord Marke. After that I just had to see more of him. So I bought Dangerous Beauty and Charles II the power and the passion (both in English, because there is no German version). What should I say, Rufus was about the limit as Charles II. I just pre-ordered Aurelio Zen via Amazon UK! I found the forum then at the beginning of Dec. last year and now I'm here. That's great! Think I will have a lot of fun with you. greetings from Germany, Sylvia

Oh, a fellow German! Welcome to the Rooftop! It was the Pillars on German TV that reminded me of that beautiful man I'd seen in "Tristan & Isolde" some years ago, and Rufusitis broke out! Pretty avatar, by the way Kind regards from farther southeast

Somehow we Germans seem to have a thing about Marke, huh?

Hi Sylvia , if you haven't seen it, yet try The Taming of the Shrew . This is my all time favourite as all the other-bored-to-death-with-me girls will tell you. See the adorable Petruchio below Petruchio .." Oh and welcome to the loony bin ! Syivia " Have fun!

Hello, Sylvia! Welcome to The Rooftop! What an exciting time to be a new member! I lurked and joined, like a lot of others, when Eleventh Hour showed in the US. That was also an exciting time, because there were weekly episodes and some press to enjoy. In the end I liked Eleventh Hour despite its many flaws, but Zen is sure to surpass EH in my heart. Marke is also one of my favorites (I hope that's allowed, even though I'm not German ). He is strong, kind, authoritative, regal, and gorgeous, and when he is betrayed it is heartbreaking. And, as has been said many times before here, Isolde is stupid. Have a great time here!

Hi Sylvia. welcome to this great forum. I have many favourites but I first saw him in Martha meets Franks, Daniel and Lawrence but it wasn't till I saw him on stage as Macbeth that I really fell for him. WELCOME

Welcome, Sylvia - you have exquisite taste, especially liking Charles II so much! I hope you enjoy exploring here. You've joined us at a very exciting time.
By the way, your username is very Irish-sounding - is there a story behind that?!

Welcome to the board, Roseofkilgannon! Another German member on the Rooftop! I'm living far more in the south, a little bit west of Munich.
My first meeting with Rufus was in Middlemarch. I'd also recommend The Woodlanders and In A Savage Land, and I like Victory, too.
