Heads Up --- this will be CATTY! It has been well argued here that Rufus would have played the role of Iris' brother (the widower with the daughters) at least as well, if not far better than Mr. Law managed to - but I don't think that Mr. Law would have been able to muster the charisma to play the charming rogue Jasper to heartbroken Iris - no one would have bought poor Iris loving such a 'big girls blouse' as Jude!  Rufus embracing Cameron Diaz?  SHUDDER!  Well at least Rufus didn't have to kiss Mr. DeFranko in T&I! |

This clip from the NY premiere just turned up on Twitter. It seems appropriate for the time of year. There are only a few seconds of Rufus from around 1.18. it's worth listening to the bored sounding narrator however, if only to hear that Rufus played the Diaz's cheating boyfriend in the movie. Hell Jasper was an even bigger cad than I thought!  Happy Holiday(s)  |

A belated thanks, Nell!  I do remember seeing that clip, but purely because of that dreadful dirgey-sounding voice.  (How'd she ever get the job? I agree, she sounds bored to tears!) BTW, I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I can't watch the clip by clicking above - but it can be seen by right-clicking, then clicking on "copy video URL", then pasting into the address bar. |
