Hi Docegattina - welcome to the RT ! I see we have another Petrucchio addict I am one too. What an excetionally talented guy we stumbled across. You will fit in just fine here. It sounds like you've already watched a few of Roof's dvd's. I hope you have a few more to discover it's nice to still have a few to look forward to.

Hi Rueful, Thanks for welcome......yes....I'll be lots of money DVDs to see to Rufus.... The wonderful thing about Roof is his beautiful face draws me to see his work but it's his acting and the sound of his voice which keeps me engaged and wanting more...... I'm really grateful this place exists..... I've spent the last 3 hours reading old threads and looking at pictures......A nice place to escape from hectic life.

If you love his voice (as we all do around here ), his audiobooks/poetry readings are highly recommended, too. Check out the "Nick Silver" thread in particular, but his "Dr. Syn" series is simply wonderful. And the James Bond audiobooks, of course.

... and meanwhile have a cup of tea and a sandwich What's with the sandwich references? I read a few comments about sandwiches...... Rufus always seems to reference food and eating in his interviews ... especially free food. Getting free food from the catering trucks on film sets. That sort of thing. We've turned it into a kind of running gag around here. If you love his voice (as we all do around here ), his audiobooks/poetry readings are highly recommended, too. Check out the "Nick Silver" thread in particular, but his "Dr. Syn" series is simply wonderful. And the James Bond audiobooks, of course. Yes.... I will definitely give them a look....Hopefully my library has them in their digital collection.....or maybe Amazon (my new best friend who is feeding my Rufus addiction) Fair warning ... the James Bond recordings by Rufus have never been released for sale in the U.S. There are recordings of the James Bond stories out here, but not read by Rufus. The full set is still available straight from the UK (here's the Amazon UK link: www.amazon.co.uk/James-Bond-Audiobooks-Retail-%C2%A3156-00/dp/B0013K5Y16/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1304603001&sr=8-1). The Dr. Syn series (three separate series, actually) and Nick Silver Can't Sleep are .mp3 files that are freely available to download from nice members of the Rooftop! Send me a PM and I'll send you the links! There's also an audiobook (with a really long title, but generally known around here as "Joseph Andrews") that you can buy and download here: www.silksoundbooks.com/authors/henry-fielding/the-history-of-the-adventures-of-joseph-andrews-and-his-friend-mr-abraham-adams.htmlThat'll give you hours and hours of lovely, slightly raspy, Rufus voice to go into your ears.

Dolce,
Welcome to the Rooftop. As you have discovered, the Rufus addiction can put quite a dent in the old pocketbook as you frantically try to aquire all the Rufus DVDs, audiobooks, etc. But well worth it in our opinion!
And yes, I read a quote somewhere where the interviewer called Rufus the greatest actor you've never heard of! But as he says, he's a choosy begger, won't take things just for the money. The complete opposite of many of his peers.

Put it down to sausage fingers, the cordless keyboard, or the brain that works faster than my fingers. I tend to drop letters all over the place ! Happy dvd watching
