Rome selection 4:  One of the many statues on Santa Maria Maggiore  Coliseum  Coliseum (at different time of day)  Palantino area (Coliseum in background)  Random street I found whilst wandering - just thought it looked attractive  Trajan Pillar (right-hand side) and surrounding buildings!! Will post more photos later in the week. |

Sigh...just beautiful....I am a freak for the Roman republic and I could go to the ruins and get lost all day long....
but the rest of it is outstanding, too. Thanks so much for sharing with us, can't wait to see some more!

Very very lovely photos, LTM. Thank you so much for sharing them! I loved the Palatino very much when I was there, but I had forgotten my camera on that day  So your pics were a special treat for me  My favourite is the beam of light falling in through the "eye" in the Pantheon's dome. Otherworldly! |

As per my message in the I Just... thread, I thought we should have a separate one for holiday pics, so they don't get lost in amongst all the other "I Just" posts. I'll move over LTM's fab pics, then everyone else please just add as and when you have holidays!  Ha-ha, forgot that when I move posts, they go in order of when they were first posted, hence this one being last..... |

Love your photos of Rome LTM! The Colosseum in the evening light were my faves, I think (the golden light is beautiful), but they were all great! I hope I get to make a trip there someday....
