I'd love love love to come, but only for the get-together. Depends on the costs though- I'd love to hear from other Germans attending (if there are any?) which airlines/trains/hotels are best? Just send me a pm! Thanks!

Just send me a pm! Thanks! I always fly with British Airways, because for me they are the best - and for me the best from Hamburg to Heathrow. I will live in the Adria Hotel at the Hammersmith Station which is "close" to Heathrow and very easy to find. Booked a double room, because I am not alone ... Well thank you for all your suggestions so far! I will have to bring my two kids (my oldest is 7) so I need to plan around that fact. I might only be able to do the afternoon thingy and then do some sightseeing with them. Oh how exciting!

You're not too late, Ophelia! It will great to see you again! We still don't have any confirmation from the V&A yet regarding whether or not we can arrange the screening. I've given up trying to work this out from the U.S. and the ever-wonderful GE2 (even though she is unable to join us on the 29th!) volunteered to give them a call and see what's what. Even if the screening doesn't work out, we'll still meet up to celebrate Roof's birthday. |

Well, I'd give them a call if anyone ever answered! All I get is voice-mail options. However, I have sent an e-mail also, so if that isn't answered by Monday I'll try again next week, and as I'll be around at home some of the time then, I'll leave a message for them to call me back if necessary. |
