Well, I've nailed down my trip for this autumn!!  I'll be arriving in London on 29 September and departing on 5 October. Nell reminded me that I had expressed interest in perhaps seeing the video recording of Rock 'n Roll at the V&A. So, that's one possibility for a get-together. I have e-mailed the V&A to ask about that possibility. Of course, there's always the option of a delicious Italian meal at ruthie2910's fabulous Cosmoba Restaurant. Or who knows what else we might come up with?!? First question I guess is ... what day of the week would work best for those who might be able to come? |

Yay Judy - this is great news! If the screening of Rock n Roll needs to be a week day, a Monday or a Friday would be good for me so I could tag a days leave onto the weekend. Otherwise Saturday's always a good day for me. |

...sadly for me, these are not good news for me, because I will be in America that time. I hoped we would make our Rooftop-meeting on October 29th, which would be perfect or one week earlier. So, will this meeting be in September, so I must say, that I can't be there.... Sniff... Sniff

September 29th is my birthday and though I can't think of a better way to spend it than by going to London (AND meeting Rooftoppers), I think my family has other plans for me. Sigh. But for those who can go: have a good time!

I'm sorry, PGG and anyother, that the dates don't work out for you.  But I think being on holiday in America and having a birthday celebration with your family are excellent reasons!! I think you'll both be having wonderful times! Maybe it'll work out the next time I make it over to London. But, I'm happy to hear that germanlady, walt, nell, and zenina may be able to meet up! I have also heard from LTMRS that she will likely be able to come as well! I haven't heard back from the V&A's booking office yet with details on setting up a group showing of Rock 'n Roll yet, but I'll let update this thread once I do. (And yes, germanlady, this is a video recording of the play performed ... by Rufus, et. al. ... on 14 July 2006!) |

If the get-together is anything other than the Saturday or Sunday, I'm not going to be able to say until closer to the time if I can make it.  My already-booked-and-can't-be-changed leave ends the week Judy's arriving, so whether or not I can take another day off so soon will depend on various factors - don't suppose you'll want it to be the 29th, Judy (jetlag?), but anyway there's no chance I'll be able to get that date or the 30th off. If not a weekend day, Monday 4th is likely to be my only hope. Other than that, I'm in!  |

Saturday is a good day for me too, but if it's another day - I'll try really hard to make it - I can't resist the' Rufus Anonymous Group Meeting' ;D Would like to see Rock n Roll too if possible.
