Yaaaay!! The Canadians in their great wisdom have given TPOTE ten (10!!!!) Gemini Award nominations, including ... Rufus Sewell(The category is: Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series) Here's a snip from the article and a link: The Movie Network and Movie Central's "Pillars of the Earth" also nabbed 10, including acting nods for star Rufus Sewell and supporting actress Alison Pill.
"Pillars" and "The Kennedys" face off for best miniseries or TV movie against TMN/Movie Channel's "Fakers," Teletoon's "My Babysitter's A Vampire" and TMN's "Sleepyhead." And here's a link to all of the nominees.

But I'm going to have a grumble: Featured Supporting Role??!! He was one of the main STARS!! But still..... Of course a nomination for a leading part would have been better, but it's great that the Canadians remembered TPOTE still after quite some time (I suppose it was broadcasted there not much later than in the US?). And now let's keep our fingers crossed that this time it will be not only a nomination......

Thanks for posting Judy at least they have a modicum of common sense in Canada. I'd grant them with a bit more if it was in a leading role - at least he's got some recognition at last though! Now - where do we all vote? ;D

These are Roof's competitors for the Gemini Award: A Heartland Christmas CBC (CBC) Nicholas Campbell Sleepyhead TMN (Astral) Joshua Close My Babysitter's A Vampire Teletoon (Astral/Corus) Atticus Mitchell It would be a CRIME if Rufus didn't win this. Just sayin'. Oh, and Ian McShane and Hayley Atwell got nominated for Leading Roles ...

Ohh, that's great news indeed! (Although I don't quite get why Waleran is considered a leading role while Tom isn't. But I won't complain too much as long as Rufus wins this one!) It would be a CRIME if Rufus didn't win this. Just sayin'. I'll second that!
