Too bad we can't all meet where this movie is going to be. I have no idea if it's coming to Wichita. I doubt it. Can you imagine all of us together watching Rufus? We'd drive the theatre staff nuts! Then of course, afterwards we would have to have in-depth discussions and may have to see the film over again several times. We'd be there all night! Can one theatre handle so much estrogen? (getting hot in here. WW scurries off to lower a/c....)

Wonderful finds, ge2. Thank you! Funny, in the first clip, I want to slap her (but she'd probably like that) and in the second I want to slap him (but very gently--and I didn't say where). Looks like it's gonna be one of those feel-good movies I leave hating every character!

Yes, quite the rukus we would make in a theater. XD Thank You so much for these links GE2!!! I even love Rufus when he is the abrasive, not-so-cuddly Albert. ...in the second I want to slap him (but very gently--and I didn't say where). *gigglesnort*

LADIES,
My sister and I saw DN last Friday when we were in LA for a short vacation. We had not really planned on seeing it there, but when we were driving to dinner we saw it advertised at a small independent theater on Sunset Blvd. I don't want to discuss it too much now as many of you have not yet seen it. I will tell you the movie was very compelling, very moving. I believe that Rufus had stated in one of the interviews posted on the board that Albert (the character he plays) was "ill equipped". That says it all !!! Albert's character is almost the exact opposite of Dr. Hood's character on EH. Some of you may not want to see this movie because of the subject matter. Yes, It was very difficult to watch at times. My sister and I cried at the end. But it was expertly filmed and acted. All of the actors were terrific. Rufus was superb. Each time I see him in a role his acting genius fully inhabits the character his is portraying. MY God, he is so good !!!! Please see this movie.... you will not be disappointed.

(getting hot in here. WW scurries off to lower a/c....) we would absolutely have to rent the whole thater for a special screening. impossible for non-rufus- worshippers to deal with us cheering, catpcalling, , requiring re-play, screaming, and otherwise expressing our usual respect for the great thespian that is mr. Sewell.

Thanks for the review, Diane. From the clips I've seen, I can believe that the movie is beautifully acted, especially by Rufus. This character seems totally different from others he's played. The movie is not playing around here, but maybe it will make its way around the country eventually.

Well... I just finished watching this movie. Spice. I cried too, in several places. I don't think it is too much a spoiler to say that. I also won't go into details but this movie has brought my appreciation of Rufus even higher. NEVER has he played a role anywhere near Albert. O.M.G.I really am amazed at the talent of this actor. My heart and gut were literally twisting inside me. The entire cast did an amazing job. ******Possible Spoiler******** One very amazing thing....many of Rufus' scenes were of him alone. Just him and his amazing ability to capture human experiences that most people don't even want to admit they even feel. I believe the man is a genious.Oh and one small detail! The cute puppy dog's name is Walnut! XD Shhh.... No more spoilers.
