Hello ladies! I just discovered Rufus a few months ago when I was sick and my DH decided to take the kids out so that I could get some rest. Well I couldn't rest so I decided to order a movie from Netflix and found TPOTE. This was the first chance I had to see Rufus. I automatically got on the internet and found other movies that he had been in and I have been hooked ever since. My favorite performance by far is in TOTS. I watch that DVD at least 4 times a week. I have only seen a handful of his work (CCF, T&I, TOTS, TPOTE, Uncorked, Zen). I would love to know if there is more that I could watch.

Hi Peachy! Welcome! Your collection sounds a lot like mine when I was first struck with Rufusitis. I watched all of his films, interviews, etc. on youtube before going any further purchase-wise. Other must-sees are: Illuminata, In a Savage Land, Eleventh Hour, Victory, Amazing Grace, Vinyan, Gone to Seed, A Man of No Importance, Charles II (watch that on youitube. It's the uncut BBC version), A Knight's Tale, Bless the Child annnnd The Very Thought of You (or, Martha Meet Frank, Daniel, and Laurence).
One other one that's available on youtube is 9/11 Out of the Blue, which --I'm going to warn you-- is very hard to watch, but if you want to see Rufus at his best (in my humble opinion), that's the one to see.
Have fun! See you around the board!

Welcome to the Rooftop, Paachy!
I was hooked by Rufus' performance in Middlemarch, and I'd also recommend the Woodlanders - but it may be difficult to get as well as In A Savage Land!

Hello and welcome to the Rooftop, Peachy! Your story is a classic around here - like you, I got hooked on Rufus when TPOTE was on TV, then I started looking up his other work, spent a lot of time on youtube (I was up until 3 a.m. one night to watch 9/11 and TOTS ) and a lot of money on DVDs. He's a fascinating actor with an incredible range and versatility and, as it seems, a very nice person in real life. Meg and Walt have already mentioned all my favourites. I'd like to add a warm recommendation of all of his audio works (audiobooks and shorter features). Have fun in our lovely Rufus madhouse!

Hi, Peachy, welcome to The Rooftop! If you take a look at this section you'll see there are threads for most, if not all, of Rufus's work (you'll need to go through several pages - and as a bonus, there are plenty of screencaps there, too!): rufussewell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=work You should find anything you've missed listed there, then it's a question of going to Amazon or ebay to buy, or Youtube to watch most things. Do enjoy exploring, and don't be afraid to ask if you have any problems/queries. Great to have you with us!

Welcome Peachy, wanna play some games? We've got plenty here! Welcome from me as well - TOTS is one of my favourites as well. I once made 3 friends see it with me, one at a time, so I got to see it 3 times in a row (and none of them suspected anything).

Hi Peachy! I'm VERY late in welcoming you to the Rooftop! Just for that, I'll give you this lovely little bit of some of Roof's very best armpit acting.

Peachy - welcome to the Rooftop - I need to warn you though- this place can be quite hard on the pocketbook as you feel the need to buy everything Rufus has been in. But be warned - Rufus is known for picking roles that are challenging and sometimes these movies can be hard to watch. Downloading Nancy and Victory are two that you have to be in the mood for but Rufus is mesmerizing in both.
