 Just saw three Tweets, all pointing to a Variety.com page that no longer exists. Hmmmm. Perhaps Variety spoke too quickly and pulled the page? I can't find any mention of it on Variety.com. Here's one of the Tweets: @theinsneider Jeff SneiderEXCLUSIVE via @krolljvar: RUFUS SEWELL to re-team with his DARK CITY director ALEX PROYAS on PARADISE LOST... The actor and partner in Alex Proyas' Dark City is excellent cast for the film Paradise Lost. Promising film that tells the history of heaven the angels and Adam and Eve
The actor has no defined role yet but is in talks with the production. The film is already in the presence of Bradley Cooper as Lucifer and Benjamin Walker as Michael.

Oh I hope something good comes out of the talks! I read Paradise Lost all-the-way through for the first time a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. Bradley Cooper would make an amazing Lucifer!

Apparently there has been no confirmation. I am hoping it did not fall through but variety did pull the article that they had as an exclusive so it does not look good The article that I am referring to is in comic book movies .co
I do know that Alex Proyas is very high on Rufus but maybe the producers were not or perhaps the part he was going for was given to some one else.
Any way I am hoping that he does get a role.
