Thanks for posting GE2. I saw this article along the same lines. I also noted the quote: We know that the plan for the film involves a relatively short live-action shoot in Australia, which will then be followed by a year of intense post-production in which the film’s big aerial battle sequences will be brought to life. So it sounds like there'll be lots of time for other projects too www.slashfilm.com/paradise-lost-shoots-june-bradley-cooper/

Thanks, Nell! Although that looooong post-production does mean a very long wait to see it. So it sounds like there'll be lots of time for other projects too

Wonder if Rufus can slip another project in there before June. Waitting is so hard!

I'm not sure I'd trust this reporter. wrong actor and wrong intent as far as Milton was concerned if he thinks he was sympathetic to the devil. oh well, how intelligent is the average reporter?

Looks like the film has been scrapped after all : Legendary Pictures Pulls the Plug on Paradise Lost
You had to have seen this one coming. Legendary Pictures has pulled the plug on the overly ambitious Paradise Lost. Deadline tells us that when the studio couldn’t get the budget down to $120 million, they scrapped it.
Bradley Cooper and Benjamin Walker were set to headline the Alex Proyas directed film. The reason for the budget going overboard was due to the visual effects, which isn’t too surprising considering the nature of the epic story being told here.
While I am upset to see the plug being pulled, I expected it. If you’ve been following its development, you probably would have expected it too.
The film was a massive undertaking and would likely cost the studio more money than a film featuring “the battle between good and evil, inspired by the John Milton poem,” could ever make back at the box office.
Maybe somewhere down the road someone will try and resurrect this one but for now, Paradise Lost is done. wegotthiscovered.com/movies/legendary-pictures-pulls-plug-paradise-lost/I have to say, I'm not entirely surprised, in the current economic climate, but it's still a shame.

Awww, sh...oot On the other hand, he'd have had only a small part in this - maybe this frees him up for something BIG!?

Yes, we should look on the bright side - it was a small part and now he'll be open for other projects. I have to admit, I wasn't that thrilled about this project anyway. Not a big fan of the stop action techo effects.
And think - since he won't be in Australia filming this summer, he'll be available for ALVH premieres.
