For UK ladies, there appears to be an article on/interview with Rufus in today's Guardian - just seen the front-page in the breakfast TV shows.
(Thinks: Is my local newsagent open yet?)

Oh dont know if I can persuade the DS to buy a Gruniad - that might be against his principles but I guess I can try!!!! It is good to have a resident Londoner to pick up all the bits and pieces that get published in the UK!

hurrah! here: arts.guardian.co.uk/features/story/0,,1967439,00.html very honest interview, i thought. he does sound frustrated about career stuff, and i can see why.....surely now MUST be a good time for things to change.

Mmmm, lovely artsy picture: Poor Roof, it must be tough being in a profession where you depend almost solely on other people's perception of you. Anyway, as they say in Blighty, mustn't grumble now, old chap.

Love that picture. Wish it was bigger. I thought it was a great interview--genuine and warm. Gave me a little tug at the heart-strings at several places. Maybe I'm just tired today.

I get so depressed lately reading his interviews. His frustration with his career just screams at you.

gee, my impression is that's he very optomistic about his career right now. He's said to more than one person, he's in a better place than he's been in ages and he's doing what he wants to do for the first time in a long time.
What's happened with Rock 'n' Roll has been brilliant. Some actors struggle a lifetime and never accomplish anything near what Rufus managed in that show or the respect he's garnered. On odd occasion some of them are almost as bright and gifted as he is.
I think he's hammering a point, but then I also think these interviews may have been put together from file interviews since they have a similar tone.

For some reason I can't open this one. It is the Guardian but it says it can't give me the address. But nobody else is having trouble, so it must be just me. Love the picture, uke! 7sisters

Anyway, as they say in Blighty, mustn't grumble now, old chap. Do we?! Think you've been watching too many old films, uke... LOVE that photo!!!!! Not from the Guardian, though - although the full page pic in the article is just...sigh... (can anyone get that up on here?) That hair is so...mussable...

That's the best interview I've read in a long time! Very down to earth and honest, I think.

A friend sent this to me last night.......but there wasn't any picture with it when I read it. Great photo!!!!
I know I've read a few of those statements he made before, almost word for word, so I do wonder if Ruf is just repeating himself over and over or if some of this came from other sources. I've no doubt Ruf is frustrated about a few things, but I think overall he's very happy with his life and work right now. He doesn't want to play the bad guy..........I think he's saying that in every interview just to get it across to people that he DOES have a great range in his abilities..........but beyond that, he seems contented.

I thought the Evening Standard photo was nice, but this one has got to be my favorite one in ages. I too wish it were bigger. Like billboard size. ;D Rai

LOVE that photo!!!!! Not from the Guardian, though I take that back - the photo with the paper copy Guardian is a (very very) close-up version of this pic from the online article - I think. This one's scrummier - and that hair is still so mussable (*daydreams about reaching out and mussing it *)

Great picture.
Do you think anyone could post the article, or at least give a brief summary of it for those who do not live in the UK?
