Wonderful Zenina. You are so talented, I can just about turn the computer on  Love the expressions on Rufus's face. Pure magic.  Love Ophelia  Ps Love love the scene when he is lying on the couch and says the words that every woman loves to hear. "Come sit on me". and of course. " I'm going to lie down now and then I'm going to rip your knickers off and have sex with you". Mind you there are so many wonderful one liners in TOTS. Thank you again. NowI need a cold shower  |

Absolutely wonderful Zenina! You've captured all his zany expressions! He is stupendous in this role and Ophelia is right, he was robbed of the BAFTA! I watched it again last night and like all of you, I never tire of it because it is so entertaining. I am amazed that he didn't do anything similar after this as this kind of romantic comedy role suits him and he carries off so well. |

Zenina, thank you - GORGEOUS caps!  I am amazed that he didn't do anything similar after this as this kind of romantic comedy role suits him and he carries off so well. Well, we know how picky he is, so probably nothing was offered to him that took his fancy! He's always saying he wants to do comedies, isn't he, which is why he often says he asks for there to be humour in even the serious roles he's offered. On the other hand, he'd have to go a long way to beat Petruchio! ;D |

I guess really good comedy is particularly hard to find. After all Rufus certainly wouldn't want to do some idiot mass-market comedy with cheap flat jokes, it would have to be something with a kind of brainy, wry humour again ...
