Hi Anglophile and daughter and a very warm welcome to London. Can't say the same for the weather, this weather is atrocious for June even by our standards. Sounds like you have your sightseeing well under way already, good for you - so much to do and so many places to see. Really looking forward to meeting up on 23rd. Jamolivej.

So sorry to hear about your uncle, Anglo, but a BIG welcome to the UK. Sorry about the weather, though - it's been topsy-turvy all year.
Hope you enjoy your stay.

Sad to hear of your Uncle's death Anglo but happy to hear you have made it to London. London has been in the news here recently because of the Queens 60th anniversary. Seeing it on tv reminded me of being there for the 50th, how it takes the town over. Look forward to hearing of your meet up with other rufians and also - your writing project(s)!!! - as one who travels with more notebooks and pens than clothes and lipsticks, but then forgets all about them in the joy of the moment, i shall be interested to hear how the writing while travelling works for you love, dove

HI Girls, voiceover if you are organising? I can join you if its possible. I have been away from the Rooftop for a short while and came back again a couple of weeks ago so didn't initially see the thread.
I haven't been able to make any of the other meet ups but I would like to join you on the 23rd June if at all possible.
I will be travelling from Cheshire (North West of England) by train from Manchester and have just been having a look at the train times etc. I would possibly stay overnight and if anyone could recommend a hotel I would appreciate it. Could you let me know the details venue, times etc.
Hope I am not too late to organise it.
Robela x
