This is slightly off-topic but there was a 2001 movie called Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter. www.imdb.com/title/tt0311361/"Kung-Fu Action / Comedy / Horror / Musical about the second coming." Oooookay!

LOL Wichi!
Megagem...Rufus would love the low country! I love SC. He can join my family when we come your way in June!
I do love the GPS chip idea so we can track him easier. Someone else just tweeted seeing him.

Some tweets have mentioned he'll play evil, not sexy. Is that possible? Forgive me if I find his evil sexy (it is just a movie). I think there is room for both evil and sexy when it comes to vampires. Of course, I know nothing about this movie. Hopefully the book will come soon.

I wonder if they were just being snarky? Those who don't find him attractive (you know, the nutty ones!) trying to say that he can play evil but not sexy, not that the role won't be sexy? The thing is, Rufus doesn't need to act sexy, he just IS!

I don't know. It all depends on how the author has written the part of Adam. We all know Rufus ordinarily just oozes sexiness. He can't help it! But if Adam is anything like the vampires in the book, he'll be WAY more evil than sexy. I'm about halfway through the book and the way the author describes the vampires is pretty creepy in their everyday lives (and, yes, these vampires can go out in the daylight when they have reached a certain age and have grown accustomed to filtered sunlight). They're very pale (of course) with a sort of bluish, undertone to their skin. They always wear sunglasses and carry umbrellas. The Southern vampires are acknowledged as very wealthy, powerful, and fashionable. Unfortunately, they are also positively terrifying when they are getting ready to bite someone - huge fangs and eyes that look like black marbles (bye-bye gorgeous green eyes!). Their victims are found drained of blood and with their faces frozen in an expression of horror. Oh, and the WAY they bite someone is not a sexy nibble on the neck. It's usually a LOT more brutal and violent. EEEEEEK! (P.S. I am enjoying the book more than I expected, even without Roof's character in it!)

Mhm ... maybe sometimes it's not that bad after all if the director doesn't stick too closely to the book

Eeeep, the black eyes thing always creeps me out! But I think I'll still enjoy this. ;D Can't wait to get the book!

Thanks for the info Judy. Sounds very interesting. Adam is a mystery. Maybe Rufus will let us know more about him when they start promoting.
I always think of vampires as being sexy and charismatic to attract their victims...then they get ya! I cant see Rufus not being sexy because he always is!

I always think of vampires as being sexy and charismatic to attract their victims...then they get ya! I cant see Rufus not being sexy because he always is! My thoughts exactly! And it's not like evil and sexy are mutually exclusive. They can coexist quite well, as we all know. Besides, in order to be the vampire leader, Adam has to at least be somewhat charismatic.

I have actually already read this book, it is very good read, very funny. It won't give Rufus all that much screen time, but what he gets will be very good. If they stick to the book that is. The character only comes and goes out of the story. It's a good strong part that he should be able to do a lot with. It just depends on how the director chooses to handle it I guess.

Hello to everyone again. Been away on holiday to Barcelona and came back to this wonderful wonderful news. Have alot of catching up to do. Have missed Rooftop badly, even being in one of the most beautiful ciities in the world. Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, a Cathedral that is still in construction. Started in 1882 and hopes to be completed in 2026. Antoni Gaudi, the architect and builder, dedicated the years of his life entirely to the Cathedral. Gaudi knew that he would never see his dream completed. Sounds very very familar, does is not. The beautiful Tom Builder. Love Ophelia
