By the way, I watched the film on Saturday. It's really not my thing but I did actually enjoy it, and not just because of Rufus. Mr BB joined me, and I think he ended up enjoying it more than I did! I haven't read the book, so can't compare the two, but I think it sets out the premise of the 'alternative history' and then plays it straight. Which is why I think it works. I hope it does well enough at the box office, and that it means that Rufus gets the kind of good publicity that leads to more and better work.

‘If anyone thinks I’m attractive,’ he says cheerily, ‘I’m secretly delighted.’ Enjoy all this interviews with Rufus. Love to get a glimpse of what is going on in 'our' man...

That's exactly what the book does, and very well. It reads like a very well-written, vivid biography with the odd bits of vampire action thrown in. ‘If anyone thinks I’m attractive,’ he says cheerily, ‘I’m secretly delighted.’ I loved this bit, too!

The last vampire film I saw was the Pitt/Cruise 'Interview with a Vampire, and I had mixed feelings about that ! I never fancied the teen age 'Twilight' one .. too sparkly. So I was a bit nervous about seeing ALVH especially as I had conned Mo)B into going with me. I always know when he thinks it is rubbish because he fidgets , sighs and tut-tuts so I was half waiting . Then in spite of supposedly having a choice of 3D or 2d the cinema of our choice was only showing 3D When the screen said put your gllasses on now , I took my specs off and put on the 3D ones What do you know?? I couldn't see anything properly Put specs back on , couldn't see that way either. Brilliant idea !!! I put 3Ds on over my ordinary ones. !!! Magic !!! Don't care how it looked. ::)Who was looking at me? To get to ALVH from the moment it started I was hooked! I thoroughly enjoyed it I think I would have enjoyed it if Rufus was not in it but with him. And that leather coat ! Yummy. The whole cast was splendid . the fight and effects were wonderful, especially the sparks If I have one criticism it is: SpoilerAdam dies . I think I thought he would escape to fight on with Abraham. But there you go, can't have it all, can you? M(o)B never moved or muttered throughout the film so yes, he enjoyed it too. We talked it about non stop, until we were about half way home when he said, " was that Rufus Sewell as Adam ?" I ask you Men!!

Frannie quoted: Oh yes, I said he looked great in leather!!!! I saw the film the first time with Mr LTM in 3D. Mr LTM rarely discusses films after he has seen them, but I reckon he really enjoyed this one as he was chatting all the way home... He liked Rufus (I have him well trained) as Adam and of course he loved the train scene!! SPOILERI have to admit that one of my favourite bits (bites.....apart from the, 'Dinner is served' line...) was when Adam did the 'waltz' with Henry's woman when he fed from her. I found that strangely erotic, what a way to go (I am one sick puppy and lovin' it)....It's interesting to hear in one of the interviews that it was not one of those so-called 'choreographed' moves!!! And the way Adam discarded her afterwards, like a used bone....a nudge with the foot I have to admit that vampires have little in the way of table manners and they rarely sit down at a table to eat their meals!!! But is Adam actually dead??? Or does he just have a very bad stomach ache??? ;D

I really love every scenes with Adam, but the fighting scenes (with Henry and on train) are awesome, too... LTMNRS - You're right - no one was able to see Adam is actually dead.. after fighting with Henry on the train (which is in the night) you just see the face of Adam which was very surprised and that was the last scene of Adam... Oh Please Please Please !!! Don't let him be dead I am going to start a war now and perhaps this should be in Confessions ... I loved Tom and I was very sad when he died I thought Armand was beautiful but I didn't mind him going I loved Aggie but yes , honestly, he had it coming ! But Adam...... Alright, maybe I am really kinky but I rather fell for Adam.

After this scene Adam fighted with Abe .... and Abe "knocked him" out ... seems Adam is be dead, but have always the hope a 5000 years old vampire can't be dead.... I just know I LOVE ADAM .... totally agree with you, this should be in confessions

Frannie quoted: Tom...oh yes, still bugs me as to why he did not defend himself! Armand - Well at least he got to ride on the front of the train!! Aggie...beautiful, ruthless, deadly, driven by the Gods and duty..YEP he had it coming.. And Adam, well.....reckon that a lot of us are kinky then cause Adam is...well....shall I saw yummy, or is that an incorrect way to describe a vampire? Either way he's magnetic...

I think yummy is the ONLY way to describe Adam. He was, hands down, the sexiest man (thing?) in the movie. Modified to add: Just checked IMDB and ALVH was third on the list for box-office take. It made 16.5 million in the first week in the US. The two movies ahead of it were both children's movies. It will be interesting to see if the numbers hold up - but for now, at least in the US, it's looking like a hit!

He can waltz with me while having his breakfast, lunch, and dinner any time. He can snack too!! I can overlook his table manners ( If my kids could hear me say that } Erotic ? OH Yes BTW I have scrubbed my neck, exfoliated and moisturised it, just in case he calls .

Well Frannie...you only get the choice of breakfast, lunch OR dinner...or should I say Adam does...'cause when he's in bitey-feed mode you only get one sitting (probably standing) and you are on the menu.....
