I love that kind of thing! Wonder how long it took to set all of this up so that it would work in the end ;D

Jacob Hood was always ready to demonstrate something very scientific in a style that surely provoked a loud aww (or eww). In Titans his nephew was very impressed by his "What do you think happens if I put this into that?" way to make that green, frothy mess. And in the next scene he just enchanted Rachel by splashing ginger ale all over himself to show how nitrogen can behave -- "It's like this ginger ale. You think this is a fizzy drink, right? Right now, there's no bubbles in it. Why? 'Cause the top is keeping the ginger ale under pressure. The gas is dissolved in the liquid. All you need is a sudden drop in pressure. And you get the bends."-- it's funnier to see the scene than to read the lines. All my babbling was to introduce the video I saw this morning. Dr Roy Lowry, from Plymouth University, used a dramatic way to show the power of liquid nitrogen. If you have five minutes for crazy science ;D, then try this link: videa.hu/videok/tudomany-technika/nitrogen-es-1500-pingponglabda-labda-pingpong-2mYFTUOK3TXTU2By?start=5.517

www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTKFYY1_iugThis is an 8 minutes long video about Simon Annand and his 'The Half' project. Old stuff, I know. BUT He speaks about his work with so much love. On the Rooftop these days are really about "theatre"- and this short film is so nice and its feeling makes me sigh. Although Rufus's picture is not shown, his portrait was taken in this project. Before a Macbeth performance in 1999. (Just for fun: Michael Gambon is preparing to play Deeley in Old Times in his picture. ;D) And Simon Annand is the photographer who has taken all those beautiful official pictures of Rufus's Old Times. Okay, after seeing this pic, who doesn't want to watch a video about the photographer? ;D (In fifteen minutes Rufus will hear this: "Half hour call. Thank you." )
