I didn't know where to put this; if it is in the wrong place,GE2, I will be happy for you to move it.
I belong to the good reads forum and so every day I receive a 'Quote of the day'.
Yesterday I got this.>>
'So please, Oh please! we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away. And in its place, you can install A lovely book shelf on the wall.'
by Roald Dahl.
My immediate thought was to agree with him ; I too love my books! then something struck me and this is it.
' Oh, Mr Dahl, each thing has its place. So I must plead the TV's case. How can I throw away this jewel, When it brings me the glory of Rufus Sewell.'

Maffio: <giggles> Poetesses! <giggles> They start a poetry duel only to end up in a gondola with Rufus.

Good point, Frannie! (Of course, that comment certainly isn't "just for fun" - we know you're deadly serious!! )

Rufus or not Rufus? The photo was posted by Christopher Albert (National Geographic Channel's spokesman) with the line: "Wait until you can see this!!" Well, this is not the answer a curious fangirl likes. iconosquare.com/p/833244183707697833_184900943I did my homework - I read the book and checked the earlier film, Killing Lincoln - so now I think I have an outline of what I can expect. www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2ENWwQjOf4 That had Tom Hanks as a narrator, but there is no narrator this time, and I take it as good news. I hope the screenplay writer did a good job!!! (I didn't like Bill O'Reilly's style.) And now let's have fun... iconosquare.com/p/832528718752563521_184900943 Chris Albert added this line to one of his photos: "Killing Jesus is going to be awesome!!" That was a Morocco pic, so he thought of the scenery, but Rufus is acting in it, so it is going to be double-awesome. A blog of two tourists mentioned the filming. They visited Ouarzazate and "Directly across the very wide street is the Museum corded off because a movie is currently being shot there in that exact location. Rumors among the locals insist that it is a continuation of Alladin...Others are positive it's King Tut. Dick went to ask the camera man and learned the movie is "Killing Jesus"!!" rustyandwrinkles.blogspot.hu/Well, we can get the set without the actors or we can get the actors without the set... iconosquare.com/p/825298593315644769_1520933416 Vernon Dobtcheff (Isiah) and Dan Mor (Sillaeus) There is a tiny article with Dan Mor: if.com.au/2014/10/15/article/Aussie-actor-cast-in-Killing-Jesus/XNJGYDLJYM.html" Mor is cast as Sillaeus, first seen as a young military adviser and enforcer for Herod who is ordered to slaughter male babies in hopes of putting an early end to the prophesy. “Later, thanks to incredible make-up, I age 20 years as the adviser and enforcer of the young Tetrach Antipas ( Eoin Macken) including beheading John The Baptist,” he tells IF via email from Ouarzazate, where Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Game of Thrones were filmed. His Sydney-based agent Gina Stoj arranged for him to audition and he tried out for three different parts before being cast in a role he describes as “physically demanding and emotionally confronting, especially as I'm about to become a father very soon.” (...)“NatGeo is very serious about the authenticity of the story and therefore so much detail has been put into amazingly rich in texture, colours, and costumes," he said. “The sets are stunning and big and the exterior locations are breathtaking. The director Chris Menaul is very pedantic and really knows what he wants and at the same time he is warm and giving.”" He also posted a dinner pic: iconosquare.com/p/830441552889603564_1520933416The three producer girls didn't feed Rufus??? Well, Kelsey Grammer and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Herodia) deserved some food. And a Stephen Moyer tweet to end my post: "It turns out there's 3 Bible Shows in Morocco at the same time at same hotel! 3 Jesus' having cocktails by the pool this weekend!" Edited some months later to shake my head - no, that was not Rufus. NatGeo posted their official cast gallery: No ears.

Well, his pic with Dan Mor was lovely. But the news are about Closer these days. What can one do if she can't go to see Rufus in the theatre? She can cry. She can listen to others talking about theatre. (I am trying hard not to look pathetic. ) So, yesterday we got this... ...we got the names and an eye and an Alice quote. Since I can't turn the page in a picture, I went to play with the names. There is a Youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=axnX8S_J5uc&feature=youtu.be "Working in the Theatre" One of the panelists is David Leveaux, he will be the director of Closer. This conversation is from 2000, but I think it's very interesting to see how he thinks. He has a good sense of humour. My favourite part starts at 33:19 - watch this, because it's hilarious!!! How six weeks of trying to suppress a shrug led to "the absolute responsibility to reach a point with your company where by every actor on that stage is connected into the narrative, has a sense of purpose, knows why they come on and how on earth they get off, it's really the bare bones of this job before one even gets into areas of mystery." If you want all of his answers, then at 8:28 he starts to talk about working with Tom Stoppard and Harold Pinter. Good part!! Tom Stoppard is "extremely graceful". And the Pinter story is great! Even Pinter can't skip a Pinter pause. On dealing with "egos" from 26:45. On being loud from 52:02 -- he also talks about his experiences at the Donmar Warehouse. On workshops from 1:00:45 -- very interesting!! On the audience from 1:13:07 I hope he and Rufus and the others will make something great!

It seems to be a reflex - if I see a new Closer photo, I'll end up watching a Youtube conversation. There is a National Theatre video with Nancy Carroll and Alex Jennings, and I enjoyed it very much! She was very animated and enthusiastic and lovely. (I especially liked the part when she was talking about ensemble working.) I liked her answers and I liked the passion in her answers! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKciwLCLqeYYes, this is the same Nancy, looking at Rufus -- Hey, Nancy, what is it like to work with Rufus?

This will be a strictly just-for-fun post , because there are no new official The Man in the High Castle pictures, so there are some smiling pics from Vancouver to watch or nothing. <sigh> Oh, come on, someone should drag Rufus into a picture to smile with! Well, let's enjoy what we have. So...the series is pretty serious stuff but there is some fun behind the scenes. A twitter pic from Audrey Fisher (costume designer) ( twitter.com/AudreyFish/ ): #MITHC #costumeshop is up and running! I don't know which very serious guy will wear that but not with a bare bottom, I am sure. Well, the costume department seems to be the place to go for jokes: "There was a slight misunderstanding at my costume fitting the other day. Or was there?" ( www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=920099911366681 ) - Joel de la Fuente Funny! Well, this is a facial expression we won't see from Inspector Kido. And I guess we won't see this one either: From Audrey Fisher again: #Saturday #onlocation @joeldelafuente #kidocoffeedate Okay, Audrey, the guy who you should have coffee with next time is RUFUS! Test his sense of humour, if you don't trust my opinion. He also can smile very sweetly. Do you remember the interview when Rufus was talking about his "vampire friend" Erin Wassons's green moped and having fun in New Orleans? This pic is even greener: iconosquare.com/p/979280911051685241_375230926 Arnold Chun: "Biking around Vancouver with my co-star Bernhard Forcher" Yes, that was a great photo but I find this one even cuter. He is with his boss - Mr Tagomi and Kotomichi "Stay tuned for episode 2(...)" Yes yes yes Back to Ambassador Hugo Reiss iconosquare.com/p/998195633355944820_1832450443 Today he posted this: "Back in Vancouver for The Man in the High Castle. They don't mess around on this set. Happy to be a part of this great new show!" Very ambassadorish. And you know who will also be a part of this great new show? Guess!!!! Ah, you don't know, do you? Helen Smith! We'll see at least one scene from John Smith's private life. (I want a kissy-kissy scene! I know it is a bold wish, but please, Mr Spotnitz, let Rufus show his character's kissy dimension. Science Fiction knows no limits, Rufus's character could be thousand-dimensional. ) Chelah Horsdal might have wished for a Rufus kiss when she blew out the candles on her latest birthday cake. And...well...and there are an Amy Smith and a Jennifer Smith, to torpedo my kissy scene wish, and to make more likely to get a cute family scene. The title of the episode will be "Sunrise" www.imdb.com/title/tt4603034/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_3

Great find eagle eyed Adina! Thanks for the info. So we haven't got the movie "Helen" yet but we do get a wife called Helen for John Smith. Incidentally I think that's a very good name for a wife Hurrah!
