Me Too!!!! Totally agree with all of you! Read the book whilst on holiday. Couldn't put it down. Wonderful, wonderful part for Rufus. Could picture, Rufus as Romer and Hayley as Eva and hopefully Michelle as Ruth all the way through the book. Marvellously intriguing story! Cannot wait for this it will be fabulous!

Just started this book even though I bought it ages ago. Glad I saved it , now I can picture Rufus all the way through. Then we can all look forward to him bringing it to life on the screen. Can't wait.

According to this French interview with William Boyd, Michael Gambon is among the cast of this, too (the interview is mostly about Boyd's latest novel but he talks briefly about the 'Restless' film in the last paragraph). Apparently, 'Restless' is to be shot in South Africa.

Nice find, Kissmekate! "(...)beaucoup des mes amis proches sont des acteurs, et j’ai toujours été fasciné par ce métier. J’ai souvent essayé de comprendre ce qu’il faut pour être un bon acteur. Leurs «qualités» sont, selon moi, proches de celles requises pour être un bon espion : la capacité à dissimuler, le sens aiguisé de l’observation, l’art de vivre «un mensonge» d’une façon tout à fait convaincante. L’espion et l’acteur sont proches." ;D ;D ;D There is a very short video with Hayley Atwell on Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWFfNPbuU00It's funny how she finished it: "hopefully learning to be a spyyyyy." Accent work, military training -- no, in the book, there is a far more interesting trick to learn: SPOILER DANGER! “'Maybe we should go by tube', he said. 'A taxi'll come', she said. 'I'm in no hurry'. She remembered something a woman in Paris had told her once. A woman in her forties, much married, elegant, a little world-weary. There is nothing easier in this world, this woman had claimed, than getting a man to kiss you. Oh really? Eva had said, so how do you do that? Just stand close to a man, the woman has said, very close, as close as you can without touching - he will kiss you in one minute or two. It's inevitable. For them it's like an instinct - they can't resist. Infaillible. So Eva stood close to Romer in the doorway of the shop on Frith Street as he shooted and waved at the passing cars moving down the dark street, hoping one of them might be a taxi. 'We're out of luck', he said, turning, to find Eva standing very close to him, her face lifted. 'I'm in no hurry', she said. He reached for her and kissed her.” Oh, look at their innocent faces!!! ;D Don't trust them, they are good actors, so they might be spies!! ;D ;D ;D

Nice finds Kate and Adina. Great to see the definite cast list and can't believe it's starting in three weeks in South Africa! My oh my Rufus is such a busy bee these days. Literally flying all over the place for work, work, work. So excited!!! Yes, Adina that was my best remembered paragraph in the book as well. ;D ;D

Oh, wonderful, Kate and Adina! And brilliant news about Michael Gambon being in the cast - he's such a terrific actor. Loved his wily old character in AG. No, really, we can kiss - it's in the script.

Very cool, Kate! Thanks for finding the info. (I'm sure he'll be happy to go somewhere besides Prague. ) Accent work, military training -- no, in the book, there is a far more interesting trick to learn: ... 'A taxi'll come', she said. don't you think this means he'll have to stop over in London to say good-bye to his son before heading south? I'm back to scanning faces on the tube again.
