Ladies enjoy enjoy enjoy the wonderful Aurelio Zen. He is what brought me to the Rooftop. I play my DVD over and over, I live in fear of wearing it out.

I really love these stupid German titles! (Well, I admit that "Ratking" would have been difficult to translate, but still ...)

Have the programs been dubbed or are they using subtitles?
If dubbed, could any of our dear german friends comment on their opinion of Rufus' "voice"?
lol

I tried to re-listen now, but the zdf announced that this is impossible due to technical problems. But what I heard sounded very strange if you are used to Rufus's voice...

"Ascension" and "Clock in Italian Kidnapping" Google translate gives me. LOL! Is this a good translation of the German titles? I can't understand why Cabal couldn't stay as Cabal. It's just a name and doesn't actually mean anything I think the Italian translation of Ratking was "Nest of Mice" Maybe it's just a poor translation?

"Ascension" is correct, and so is "Italian Kidnapping". I don't get either why they didn't just keep "Cabal" and tried to found a somewhat more exciting title for "Ratking". Yes, sure, it's about a kidnapping, but it's sooo boring as a title. (Well, most of the books have really awful, bland titles in German )

Our German Rooftoppers are finally getting to see gorgeous Aurelio broadcast on their networks. I'm have moved some comments from the TV listings thread so they won't be lost when that thread is deleted. Feel free to add to this discussion of the German broadcast, if you like. I hope it's a ratings success!

Oh, thanks, rueful! I also hope it will have a successful run in Germany. After all, we love British mystery series. Wallander and Sherlock are all over the programme this winter. I've also seen some nice comments from TV magazines

I've also seen some nice comments from TV magazines Pity it is broadcastet so late, I'm afraid that may decrease the number of viewers. Some comments rated the season 4 out of 6... of course, we on the RT would habe given it 6 out of 6! ;D But there's no kind of trailer anywhere on the zdf, so we'll have to wait for the broadcasting to comment on the voice.

They usually show British mysteries at that time, so I still hope it will work. (I'm going to record it, though, that's too late for me to watch on a workday.)
