Well Old Times is now old times!!! Managed to see the play again over the weekend!!! This experience will live long in my memory, it's been amazing. The play just continued to evolve and each performance was just so engrossing. I just want to say a big, big thank you to all the RT members who have helped along the way to make my trips into London such a pleasure. Thanks for all the fun, food, drink and gifts. You have been so generous. It was also lovely to be able to meet up with not only old RT friends, but also a few (up until now not met) new ones. Thanks also go to all the RT members who were not able to attend the play for whatever reason. You have been most gracious with your comments when reports have been posted by other members. And to all the cast and crew of Old Times, with special mention for Rufus (of course).....congratulations to all of you, it's been a wonderful production all round. The photo of Rufus above was taken last Friday (5th) and the background showing the theatre was taken the following evening after the last performance. I was amongst a number of Rooftoppers chilling (literally) outside Tom Cribb pub having a stiff drink and basking in the glow of it all....

Ohh, what a beautiful shot - this is the perfect picture to commemorate this fantastic play.
I'll also miss all your comments, photos, and thoughts. It was a lovely time, let's hope we'll see him on stage again soon!

LTM - the WP is just Yeah, I am back at home again. Came to London last Friday with 4 wishes: - to watch ATTAM - to see Rufus on stage - to see Rufus at stage door - and to meet lovely Rooftoppers (old friends and new friends) and ALL 4 wishes fulfilled plus a lovely Extra as I bumped into Rufus at one street corner on Friday during I phoned with my hubby.... had lovely chat with him, gave him my pressie after show and had lovely, funny chat in the evening at Stage Door again)... I am totally agree with words of LTM... So I have nothing to add - just a BIG BIG BIG Thank you to Rufus and the many Rooftoppers - I have had a BRILLIANT time again there... These pics were taken on Friday

Was fortunate to visit Old Times for both performances on Saturday the last day of the run. Brilliant performances from all the cast even though Rufus was still suffering from his cold. Felt quite sad, it's been a fabulous time for us here having Rufus in London, but managed to catch him arriving and to get a previous photo taken with him signed plus a short chat. Still the good news is that he has immediate work following the play so something else to look forward to albeit a way off , but we now have ATTAM opened as a consolation.

Just want to add to the last few posts. I too saw the last two performances of Old Times on Saturday. I was absolutely thrilled that myself, LTM and jameolivej just manaaged to catch Rufus arriving at the Theatre. He was dressed immaculately in a suit, very shiny shoes and the lovely camel overcoat. He was signing a couple of autographs for fans so we walked up and he said hello to all three of us and chatted for a few minutes and signed our photos etc. He was so charming and gracious as he always is. I asked him about the 'Helen' project and he said yes it is still on but they are still awaiting finance. He said 'we had to wait a long time for The Sea' and I said I knew. He also said he was off to Budapest the very next day (LTM had asked him whether he would have a short break first). I said he did not look too well and he replied I am not very well at the moment! He said he would come out later for a quick photo but there were a lot of people waiting after the performances and he wouldn't have been able to accommodate all of the fans so wasn't able to show himself. Therefore I was thrilled that we had managed to get a quick chat with him in the afternoon. There were a lot of VIP's in the theatre including Lady Antonia Frazer and other people I recognized who were all obviously attending the after show party. There was a large lorry waiting as they dismantled all the set etc. and removed all the furniture etc. So sadly that was the end of Old Times! We have all been so lucky to be able to see him in this very thought provoking production and be able to meet him in person several times. I am so pleased as I know we all are that it has been such a success and like all of you wish Rufus all the success in the world for his future projects.!

I managed to get back to London for the last weekend of the play together with hubby and friends. A couple of us managed to see Rufus after the Friday performance and he was feeling much better although he was still poorly. He planned to come out after the Saturday matinee and we confirmed we'd see him then. At a performance earlier in the run a guy I'd chatted to in the day seats queue presented KST with a bunch of flowers as she took her final bow and Rufus jokingly asked where his were. We joked about this after he show. Back to the final day - we were successful in getting front row seats for both performances which was very exciting! So we got some flowers and at the final bow presented them to Rufus. It all got a bit confused and Lia spotted us but Rufus didn't. The actors left the stage. The lights went down and we sat down in horror. Then the lights came back up and they stumbled back onto the stage. Lia trying to get Rufus to one side to get the flowers, he was trying to get in the middle, his usual place. After much you go, no you go between Lia and Rufus, Lia came forward and mouthed Kristin. I said no Rufus. She took them and passed them to Rufus. The audience cheered and Rufus squinted to see us. He recognised us and the penny dropped. He blew us a kiss and they all left the stage. Unfortunately he wasn't at all well and stayed inside and rested after the matinee so we didn't get to speak to him again after Friday I'm grateful Rufus managed to perform again that evening. It would have been so sad if the understudy had stood in on the final evening. To feel so ill and perform so well was quite an achievment .

Oh, he still doesn't sound to good, poor guy. Sounds like you all had wonderful experiences and fond memories....lovely pics too. Ophelia, his smile in your pic made me grin, it's so funny. Don't you just want to cuddle him?
Me I'm sad I didn't have the chance to go and see the play, but I'm ever so glad you let me and everyone else who didn't go enjoy your experiences with you - a big thank you for that, and to Rufus as well, for being so nice to you all.
I hope he feels better soon, and I'm glad things are looking so bright work-wise for him. Fingers crossed for another play sometime in the not to distant future - I'll make sure to be there if I can.

He loves photographing Rufus though as he's so good at posing and doesn't run for the hills or look like a rabbit in the headlights like some his other models

A special thanks to LTM for your wonderful wallpaper. That is going on my laptop. Aww that's nice...thank you...........and you are welcome. I had to stop using pictures of Rufus as screensavers or desktop backdrops some time back.... Too much of a distraction, never got any work done!! ;D A couple of small bits and bobs that I remember.... Last Saturday when Rufus arrived for the matinee performance, there were a couple of autograph hunters, you know the ones who have a fistful of pics to sign (probably) with a view to selling on ebay!! Rufus was brilliant, he held up one finger and said (very politely), 'Just one'. Beautifully dealt with, well done sir. Also Ian McShane was with Rufus at the theatre on 26th March. Sadly I didn't get a chance to get a photo of the two of them together. PGG...nice photos, he looks so happy
