Can't wait for Ophelia to do likewise, then I won't feel so guilty about the queue-jumping! Thank you HJ. You are sweet. Not long to wait now. Can I ask a question to all ? After the play and you have walked round to the stage door. Did you wait long? Not that it will matter. Would wait forever. But knowing my luck, Rufus comes out early and straight into a taxi, before I get to the stage door Just wondering as soon as the curtain closes, should I leg it, shoving people to the ground to get to the stage door Seeing the play a few times so I should get at least one meeting

Ophelia - It was quite a while after the play that Rufus came out so you have plenty of time for a drink and no need to kill anyone to get there ;D Of course it might have been different because it was the first night. Following popular demand I have a couple of pics taken on the night.........

Ophelia, I don't think there's any set pattern to catching artists leaving a theatre, whatever. We actually were waiting at the stage door for some time . After a short time someone informed the crowd that Kristin Scott Thomas had just left by the main entrance. About 50 minutes into our wait Lia Williams ran down the side of the theatre towards us and entered the stage door. She emerged again by the stage door, signed some programmes and chatted with some of the crowd. As she signed my programme I asked her if it looked like Rufus was about to leave and she said she did not think that he would be much more than about 5 minutes. She was lovely by the way. Very shortly after this a shout went up from the corner that Rufus was at the front of the theatre, and the crowd ran to the main entrance. As I posted previously Rufus was very generous with his time in spite of the fact that his car was waiting. I believe he came out of the theatre at about 10 so we waited about an hour.
All I can say Ophelia is I hope that you are lucky, I am sure you will manage to catch him on one or more of your visits. I know that you will be vigilant and it will be worth the wait(s).Good Luck.

Nell, I'm so happy for you! What amazing souvenirs you have. I just ask myself though: HOW ON EARTH DO YO YOU STOP YOURSLEF HAVING A HEART ATTACK / BABBLING / MELTING / SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTING WHEN YOU'RE IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU'RE BEING HUGGED BY RUFUS? !!!
