Then maybe you'd also like Robbie Williams's swing albums!

Then maybe you'd also like Robbie Williams's swing albums! Indeed I do! But I will also try some other music from this page - you can never hear enough music!

Also like him very much! Most of the others I´ve never heard of, as I enjoy classical music most of the time. One of the exceptions is Michael Bublé, whose ballades and his voice remind me of Frank Sinatra (also one of my favourites!). Yep I'm very fond of MB's music too Midoro. Have been to several concerts and he is very good live.

In January he will come to Vienna and I have tickets for the concert!

Well you won't be disappointed, he's excellent on stage and is usually extremely funny. Hope you didn't have to pay too high a price for the tickets though. He's so popular now the tickets are getting way too expensive.
I will be seeing (at long last - hopefully) Maroon Five in January!!! I got the tickets last Christmas from hubby and sons, but the original June concert tour was cancelled!!! Will be interesting to see how good they are live.

Have fun, both of you!
I'm not much of a concertgoer, but if I ever get the chance, I'd really love to see the Boss live on stage. Such a pity I missed him last year when he played somewhere near my hometown.

I normally only go to classical concerts (and that not very often) or to the opera (my husband and I have season tickets for both). A singer like MB is a kind of premiere for me, as I haven´t been to a pop concert since I was at school.
The tickets were expensive as expected, LTM, but I could at least chose the cheaper category and they weren´t sold out as quickly as I had thought.
To hear Springsteen live would surely be an experience. Hope you´ll hear him soon, Kate!

Yesterday I was at an organ concert with French romantic music. It was so very beautiful, as the concert hall has the right big organ for such music. The whole room was sometimes vibrating! I esp. liked Alexandre Guilmants Sonata Nr. 5 and Charles-Marie Widors Symphony Nr. 6, where Olivier Vernet played the first movement. The organist played with hands and feet - it was really very impressive!

Speaking of both: check out their Christmas albums. Loreena's "A Midwinter Night's Dream" is one of my all-time favourites for the season. I love some operas, classical music and musicals. and go when we can. LTM and Kate, just wanted to tell you I have bought Shepherd's Moon( Enya ) and have ordered A Midwinter's Dream(Loreena) I have put Book of Secrets and/or Masks and Mirrors on my Christmas presents list. Pretty sure of one of these as M(o)B has come to love her as much as me. I love Young Rebel Set too, Queen; I grew up with my mum's Sinatra. Jeff Buckley is another I love. Kygal , I know this is sacrilege but Hum ..er.. mm .. whispers .. I have never warmed to Springsteen. Midoro,if you love Buble and Sinatra, you would love the lovely and late lamented Matt Monro. I put his "On Days Like These" to start one of my Zen stories. I think his lovely voice is the singing equivalent of Roof's speaking voice. You know ... warm honey trickling down your back or that old saying 'being rubbed down with a velvet glove.

midoro, I'm a tiny bit jealous of your concert experience! I love me a good organ Mr. Kate has played the Toccata from Widor's 5th symphony occasionally, and it's mind-blowing to just watch him play. Frannie, enjoy both the albums. I haven't got "Shepherd Moons", but a few of the songs it contains feature on a Best Of CD I have. "Caribbean Blue" is one of my all-time favourites. Jeff Buckley's version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is better than the original IMHO. And don't worry if you don't like Springsteen. Neither does Mr. Kate If you like Young Rebel Set, have you has a closer look at Mumford & Sons?

Hi Kate! And I´m a bit jealous of Mr. Kate being able to play the organ and that well - Widor must really be difficult to play!

To hear this music live must be the ultimate experience and Kate hear Y(o)B actually play it... I'm glad to hear Mr Kate doesn't care for Springsteen either I always feel I'm on my own about Mr S. And Jeff Buckley sings Hallellujah better than anybody else, He sings this song 'The Other Woman'....I have to stop what I'm doing and have a good quiet howl!

That Mr KMK's a very talented guy. Frannie - Glad you liked Shepherd Moons - it is beautiful music. As for Matt Munroe, always makes me think of Born Free and Elsa the lioness... I always thought he was very underrated. Lovely singing voice, just born at the wrong time!! Midoro - Glad the concert was good. Kygal - Yep hoping Maroon Five will be good. Love some of their songs. Wonderful lyrics.
