...She used to bake cakes when it was his birthday and everything..... That's a serious crush! I always thought Radar was cute. I didn't have a crush on him...just thought he was cutsy.

I thought Radar was cute too, but he looks and acts too much like my friend Andrew for me to have ever thought anything else about him. It probably won't surprise any of you (I have SUCH a history of liking people no one else does) that I wound up with a mad crush on Maj. Charles Winchester. What sucked and ultimately made my crush literally crash into pieces was when David Ogden Stiers came out of the closet about two months after my crush began

And everyone knows Wayne Rogers was the hottie! I liked Alan Alda! Much wittier than Rogers. ;D The curls, woman! It was all about the curls! And the lopsided grin. I wound up with a mad crush on Maj. Charles Winchester. What sucked and ultimately made my crush literally crash into pieces was when David Ogden Stiers came out of the closet about two months after my crush began These things happen. Often. So no one had the hots for Klinger? After all, he was a precursor to Petruchio. ;D

I'm sorry GE2...I hope I didn't offend. Don't be daft - of course not! No, but MASH was just about my favourite thing on TV for years, and Alan Alda was just so wonderful as Hawkeye. I didn't think Wayne Rogers had the same impact, and actually thought the series improved after he left. ;D Even so, didn't appeal to me. I didn't fancy anyone in it, just loved the sublime comedy. Never been beaten. I never forgave them when Henry was killed (the first time a major character in a comedy got bumped off - I can still remember the shock of it), but then Harry Morgan was equally loveable. I loved Radar in a little/big-brother kind of way! Except much, much hairier! And worse dress sense.

No doubt, MASH was a fantastic show...I also remember the sadness and disbelief when they killed Col Blake.....but I never quite understood where her crush came from. That was about the time they were making The Outsiders into a film (which I was extremely disappointed to find out was terrible when went to see it) so I was all into that.
I did have a major crush on Scott Bakula during Quantam Leap, tho....

I didn't think Wayne Rogers had the same impact, and actually thought the series improved after he left. I did like WR, but I also thought BJ was a great character. They did pretty well with most of their substitution characters, although I didn't like it when Radar left and Klinger's role was elevated. Klinger's schtick got a bit stale, I thought. I never forgave them when Henry was killed (the first time a major character in a comedy got bumped off - I can still remember the shock of it)... Oh I remember that vividly too! What a trauma! I was so devastated I wrote about it in my diary. Except much, much hairier! And worse dress sense. ;D
