Back to the F train, it also runs straight through midtown Manhattan. I don't know how it works but I imagine since New York will be a temporary residence for him, real estate people might hook him up with an apartment to lease near where he'll be working. Though Park Slope, Brooklyn, would be a quieter, more residential spot, Rufus might just be looking to walk to work every day. He could have been looking at apartments within walking distance of Broadway and the F train runs straight through Manhattan, Rockefeller Center area, 53rd and Lexington Avenue, etc. etc. [/quote]
Good point, it's been a while since I lived in NY, forgot about those stops.....Rockefeller Center would be nice, and Billy can go to Central Park pretty easily and ice skating in RC if they're there long enough.

Maybe we'll find out soon. Once he's in NY, there should be more spottings ;D. My husband is off to Chicago for a few days; when he called before, he asked me if I would be spending my days without him riding the F train

Well, you know I certainly would do that if I thought I had a chance in h*ll of seeing him (but I think he's moved on by now . . . ) It does give the New Yorkers hope though

No idea about whether he would like a guided tour or not! No harm in asking if you get the chance though. As for quotes - like this you mean - hit "quote" in the top right hand corner of the message you want to quote and it will pop up in the box for you to write your reply in.

Another sighting: Celebrity sighting!
I had lunch with actor Rufus Sewell (Amazing Grace, The Illusionist, Dark City) today. OK, that's a lie, but I did sit 10 feet from him at a West Village restaurant. The servers were all abuzz, knowing he was someone, but not sure who that someone might be. Chris and I filled them in after he left. He's starring in Tom Stoppard's new play Rock 'N' Roll, which opens on Friday...www.fidgetingwildly.com/fidgetingwildly/2007/10/celebrity-sight.html

Boy, are things going to be different for Rufus post R & R. He will get recognized a lot more in NYC, and depending on the level of success and press of the show, his worldwide recognition level will change as well. This, of course, has it's pluses and it's minuses. I wish him well, and I know he'll do great with the increased fame, since he has been working so hard in the business for so long; he will handle it gracefully and appreciate it I should think.
