"Took me until just now to remember his name, but Rufus Sewell sat next to me on the F train the other day".
Apt hunting?
More details:
"He looked skuzzy… like an older rock star. Two or three days beard on his face, battered jeans and boots and jacket, and unkempt hair… Definitely him though. He was traveling with an older guy and talking so I recognized his voice. Can’t believe I couldn’t remember his name though. Also… he is in his late 30s but looks older."

Ok, I checked and according to the coworker it was 'a few days ago' but he is POSITIVE it was him.

So who told you he was in Thailand? Was it someone from a fansite?
He seems pretty cool… I don’t know how I feel about the name Rufus though. It was definitely him though.

I'm just imagining -- Rufus with jeans on, boots, jacket -- F TRAIN - hot, humid, 95 degrees in New York -- how could he not look scruffy! I'm just wishing I was on that F train - they're usually so crowded I'd have an excuse for banging into him! (hope he got an air-conditioned one)

No way it was Rufus, Uke. I'm going with Joaquin Phoenix. Can't be Joaquin. He doesn't look old for 40. Neither does Rufus, actually. It would also be sort of odd for him to come off a film shoot with wild hair and unkempt since they would be meticulously keeping his appearance consistant day in and day out. The description in fact sounds just like Ian MacShane. but I like the F train. It makes me think interesting things about where he might be apartment hunting even if they are completely impractical from the standpoint of what he'll be doing... still it's difficult for me to imagine that Rufus would be tromping around on the F Train searching for his own digs. I'd rather think someone might provide him with options from which he would choose. Even us regular types do that rather than pounding the streets... ;D Still one can never tell with Rufus. He's rather on original. |
