My Eustacian tube in my right ear is unusually narrow so it has alot of problems draining. The weather here has been really irratic, 70 degrees one day, 32 the next, which I think led to the fluid build up. I'm hopefully going to make it back to work tomorrow; I just wish I didn't have to wear earphones as part of my job.

Way to go, DGD!!!
I just finally heard from my eldest bro (he's nearly 60). Mum had told me on Sunday two pieces of rather shocking news and I have been wondering how he is doing. Well, he called me this evening and confirmed that he is getting a divorce.. and to top it all off, a week ago, he had a pace maker put in his heart! He had started to turn gray in complexion and his leg and foot were turning purple. Turns out that his heart wasn't sending blood properly and only half his heart was working. EEgads!
Well, he is in pain, but he was at least well enough to start calling people up. I am so glad he is alright! Phew! Could have lost him!

Hope you're brother is feeling better, Vittoria. Sorry to hear he's getting divorced, especially with the condition he's in right now.
I went back to the doctor Thursday because the pain was starting to go down my neck and around the side of my face. The doctor said maybe the build up in my ear was affecting the ear drainage so I did something really stupid. When the fluid was still there by Saturday, I went to Wal-Mart and got one of those do-it-yourself irrigation kits. Instead of flushing out my ear, the drops got trapped with the fluid, as did the water I used to try and flush it with. Now I can barely hear out of my right ear because nothing is draining out. I'm going back to the doctor and I have a feeling she's going to send me to an ears/nose/throat specialist to have it drained, if she doesn't do it in the office herself. I've missed a week of work and I really don't want to miss anymore but I can't wear headphones with my ear like this.
EDIT: Just got back from the doctor. Turned out the "wax removal" kit ended up causing the wax to become even more impacted and had pushed it up against my eardrum, almost completely covering it. She had the nurse irrigate both ears; she used one of those high-pressure water picks normally used to clean teeth. It got all the gunk out of my ears but both ears are really tender now, which the doctor said would last a couple of days. She wrote me out of work for today and tomorrow since my ears will be too sore for me to use headphones.

So sorry to hear about your brother's divorce but at least he is on the mend for his heart problems. I will keep him in my prayers.

I hope your ears heal soon. One good thing...I hope you are not wasting all this off from work time...I know I would be watching all my Rufus movies.

I haven't heard from my bro, so I am sure he is on the mend. Ambra: Please get well soon! I hope you will be back to work and feeling fine soon! I just chatted with the bass player of my fave band Dope Stars Inc. a few days ago. They have finished recording their new album and it's now in the stages of mixing and mastering. Darin had just got back from Finland and was quite tired when we chatted (he lives in Italy).... and next DSI have gigs in Russia. They just released their new EP too.. so they have been busy, busy and busy! I am so glad he took the time to chat with me as I hadn't chatted with him for months and was wondering how he is doing! So, that was nice of him!

I had to go back to the doctor again today, this time for flu-like bug that's going around so I'll be out of work the rest of the week. I just hope I still have a job once I go back since that will make two weeks that I've been out. I have medical documentation so hopefully that will help.
I just took the cough medicine my doctor prescribed; it has codone so I'm feeling just a little loopy right now! And I just added Hugh Jackman to my list of folks I'm following on my Twitter page!
