I haven't watched this in a while Pattirose, but I do remember Roof looked pretty darn sexy in the ski outfit. The story & acting are pretty lame, though.

He has one funny scene, and when I saw the movie I wondered if it was his idea to do it. He does look very handsome but uninspired throughout the movie. I felt a little sorry for the fella actually, he just didn't seem his usual self. My imagination?

I haven't disliked any of Ruf's movies yet, certainly I like some more than others but that's usually due to his lack of screen time more than anything else. Aside from here, I actually did see a couple good fan reviews of it and it seems most people who trashed it were expecting spectacular stunts and thrills every minute. I'm quite happy with sexy wexy in a ski suit!

I just was so feeling spoiled by my neighbour when she surprised me with home-made still warm banana/nut/chocolate chip muffins.
Then, I just got off the phone with my mother. (I call her every Sunday.) I never know what kind of day she will be having when I ring. She has breast cancer and severe intestinal issues (has had operations to remove parts of them). One breast was already removed, but it spread and she refuses to go for any more surgery. She is 80, bed-ridden, can only lay on her back, can't sit or stand or move- and docs call her "miracle woman" as she has survived 4 times nearly dying already. She lives so far away I doubt I will get to see her before she dies nor make it to her funeral.
Today Mama is having a really bad day. I haven't heard her voice sound so weak since over a month. She told me that when my older bro and his wife went to visit that she ended up puking her guts out three times in a row after they left. Maybe it's the chemo pills. She has no idea why and she has no idea why she is feeling so rough today.
Sometimes I just feel like crying.

Go ahead and cry. It just means you're feeling some painful feelings about someone you love dearly .I hope you have people nearby to turn to for companionship and comfort when you want it.

vittoria, I'm sorry to hear your Mom had such a hard day. It sounds as though she is a very courageous woman (seems that you may have gotten some of your spunk from her).

Go ahead and cry. It just means you're feeling some painful feelings about someone you love dearly .I hope you have people nearby to turn to for companionship and comfort when you want it. Thanks, Hon. Just can't bring myself to cry at this point no matter how much I feel like doing so. And I do have great friends right here in my building. I know most of the people on my floor and several from elsewhere here. Can't calll my dear friend (the one married to the actor) as she is conked out from being sick with bronchitus. I would usually talk to her. It's hard for me to open up to the wonderful people in my building. I probably should be more open as there are a lot of people who care about me, but I open up only to very few people- I mean really open up.... and I don't have a bf right now. Otherwise, I would open up to him. alli can do... big hugzzz, coast to coast. vittoria, I'm so sorry about your mother's illness and the stress you're feeling. Hugs and warm thoughts from me to you. big hugzzz back at ya, Hons! Thanks! vittoria, I'm sorry to hear your Mom had such a hard day. It sounds as though she is a very courageous woman (seems that you may have gotten some of your spunk from her). Thank you for your kind words. Indeed, she is very courageous and thanks for the compliment. I'm so sorry about your mom vittoria. I hope she is feeling a bit better soon. Hang in there and know we're all thinking of you. Thank you!!!!! I hope so too, but each week I call her, it seems she is getting closer to death. Usually when she is as ill as she was today, my father will just say she can't talk that day.. which leads me to wonder if perhaps - just in case they feel she is close to death- that she's getting on the phone as it may be the last time. Big hugs for all your kind words, my new friends. On a lighter note....I just woke up from a long nap wherein I had a dream of a very naked Rufus... so that at least made me feel better to an extent. And then I just heard "She Blinded Me With Science" which always has a tendency to give me a good ... especially the part where he says "I don't believe it! There she goes again! She's tidied up and I can't find anything!" So I looked it up and here's a link to the vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IlHgbOWj4o

Thanks so much GEII and DGD! ~HUGS GEII~
I'm just trying to distract myself at this point... It's all I can do lest I just be swept away by it all...
I just talked to my dear friend earlier today and she's calling me back again this evening, so I'll talk to her about this (now that her bronchitus is cleared up). We're tentatively planning a day or two of movies. She'll come over hopefully this weekend (her hubby must be filming) and we'll have a girls' weekend... So if I'm not on the boards as much this coming weekend, you all know why!
Thanks again everyone! You're all so sweet!
