Have to work today but at least the weather is cooperating, grey and drizzly. So being stuck inside won't be to bad. At least I'll get a lot of my own work done.
Oh, LTM, if you're lurking, saw your man Federer pulled out a close one in the Australian Open.

I imagine LTM watched that one. Now I.....I would take a tennis ball to the face for a kiss from Nadal. Glad the girl is ok though.
Going to do some things around the house today. Meeting friends at a tea room tomorrow. Should be fun.

Kygal, I love going to tea. So very civilized! I hope you had fun. And yes, I wouldn't turn down a kiss from Nadal. Saw him play once, he is really something.
Long day today since I was on this weekend. Not only was it a long day, but it was the kind of day I especially hate, lots of little fires that needed to be put out. At the end of the day you don't feel as if you accomplished anything.

I hope this week goes fast for you Rachel. Do you get a day off during the week from working the weekend?
My dog has a teeth cleaning appointment at the vet today. She cant understand why we haven't fed her this am. Poor baby.

Looking forward to watching the big game tonight. The game, the commercials and the half time show. Hard to know when to go to the bathroom. Have a great week!

. there! Yes Rachel, I was sort of lurking..... Thanks though ladies for thinking of me. Seems like Fed’s had two extremely close calls at the Australian Open. I was thinking of renaming him as Harry (Houdini) Fed’s. He fought his way through and then got Novak! For me nowhere as painful as the Wimbledon loss, so near yet so far. Kind of glad the tournament is over now, so tiring lol. Watched the Men’s Final today and glad that it was a good contest. Young Dominic is a very powerful player, witnessed that from the sidelines in November at the Nitto ATP Finals. Sadly he was beaten that day too by the younger Greek player Stehanos T. I have not yet had the privilege of seeing Nadal live, which is a shame, but maybe there is still time. You never know. Just over a week ago we had another addition to the family. Leah now has a baby sister named Charlotte Olivia. Leah is just over 2 now and has taken well to her new sibling. She is very affectionate and protective of her. Charlotte was quite small having been born 3 weeks earlier than the original due date. 5lbs 4oz. She’s doing well and was released from hospital the day after she born! They don’t hang around these days do they? Kygal - Happy Birthday to Kydaughter, scary where the time goes isn’t it. Hope it was a good one. Oh and enjoy the Super Bowl. Know you love your sports. Looking forward to next Sunday for The Pale Horse. Will be nice to see some new Rufus on TV at long last. Hope everyone gets a chance to view it. Have a great week everyone wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Have a fantastic weekend! We have snow! Only the second time during this unusually mild winter here. I have probably just jinxed the next month with that statement. Yikes!

Have a good time Kygal, and belated happy birthday to your daughter! My elder got 25 in December - where has the time gone? Congrats LTM on baby Charlotte! And yes, a pity about Federer! I saw some of the games at the Australian Open, mostly those with Thiem, who nearly beat Djokovic in the finale! Finally some sun here, and had a few warmer days too. The time of snow has gone I think, nearly nothing this year - I don´t mind! My younger daughter is in Canada for her studies, till the end of April. As she wrote she survived a flu and -34°C! She also watched a hockey game. This week her boyfriend flew over to visit her. Have a good rest of the week everyone!

So very odd, I could have sworn I posted last night but it seems to have disappeared.
Kygal, have a fabulous time at the beach. This is a great time for a getaway.
LTM - congratulations on the new granddaughter. I love the names Charlotte Olivia and I'm sure she is a lovely as her names. And how great that Leah is enjoying being a big sister. Husband and I watched the Australian Open. He says Djokovich is like a machine, when he's healthy he just doesn't miss.
Midoro, so sorry to hear your daughter had to go through the flu so far from home and mom. But having her boyfriend visit should perk her up.

Hi all.
Thanks Midoro....newbie doing really well despite arriving a bit early.
Do hope your daughter recovers soon. I’m sure her boyfriend will be the perfect tonic.
Federer was hanging on in there in the Aussie Open. Then he met Novak. As Rachel’s hubby says, the guy is a machine when on form. Just an amazing returner of the ball.
Just love Fed’s style of play. Grace and elegance. Stealth, beauty, yet somehow quite brutal. Gonna miss him so much when he retires. Thank goodness for YouTube lol.
As for Dominic Thiem. Still so much potential. Saw him play in November in the Nitto ATP 02 final......he eventually lost the final to ST, but Dom is an incredibly powerful player. Very nice one-handed backhand too. Impressive to watch.
Hope everyone who celebrates Valentines Day enjoyed themselves.
Have a great weekend.
